I see. I think in that case I would say it's not allowed to just draw a line and say it's contingent with the rules already there about not accessing the warp menu in a run, but I'll verify with everyone else and see what they think!

From what I understood when the rules were revised (as there used to be a bunch of garbage categories that didn't make a whole lot of sense, like first to warp to 20...) that, it's just warping that was gutted out of all the new categories. You weren't allowed to, say, start from level 1, warp to 95 or whatever and then submit the time under 99.

In theory, if you wanted to pause in your run (without warping) to study the board or think for a moment, that's allowed, you just can't warp ahead any levels. At the end of the day mass pausing to get through a level just hurts your own end time, but I'll confirm that a little later.

Yeah, as @Nobleboy77 said, please show the settings for those are disabled! It would/should be noticeable watching the run in some sections (like maybe the bowling balls in stage 1, as that area can sometimes lag, or other areas like on the highway) but, it's much easier if settings are just displayed at the start. :)

Sure! It just makes the game more accessible at the end of the day to a new generation. I don't see why not.

[Edit]: Provided, of course, it isn't sped up or something wacky and runs at the same frame rate, anyway. My brother has the collection though and it seemed "normal" (as in, nothing seemed changed.)

Sorry, I think you can just stream natively via XBOX and PS4, right? So that's an option as well - but Nintendo Switch, you'll need a capture card.

Canadajunkyard_dave2 years ago

Depends on your setup!

If you have it on computer, easiest way is to download something called "OBS" (Open Broadcaster Software). You can easily capture "Game Windows" or "Window Captures" (the TMNT game) in that software, and setup a Twitch/YouTube account to stream it to those platforms, or, just record it locally without streaming at all.

To time it, you'll have to use a splitting program, and generally the most used one is "LiveSplit". This assumes you're using a PC and not a Mac. I'm unfamiliar with Mac.

If your copy of Shredder's Revenge is on a console, you'll need a physical capture card to capture the gameplay (and the same programs above.)

Good luck and feel free to message me anywhere if you have any questions!

It's a cool game, but yeah, barely sees any traction.

I'll join when I'm not on mobile!

Survival mode is really fun and I was really surprised to see there was never a category added for it.

Hey, sorry for the late reply! I guess I didn't get a notification for this.

Cool to see you're still speedrunning and around in general. Your run was funny, as originally when I set the variable (if you sorted by it) you went from like 90th to 9th place. :D @mikethev

I honestly have a huge amount of interest (note, this is my opinion as a random player, not a moderator) with ILS in this game. I actually grinded day 1 on April/Gnarly and had it down to a 2:50, I think, but this game is very bad for an individual level framework.

As @lxx4n6xxl wrote, there's a lot of logistical errors in making a board that makes sense for ILs.

In my opinion, if ILs were ever added in the future (and again I wanna specify, this is my opinion as a player and I've absolutely not talked to anyone else that's a moderator about this) I would heavily encourage ILs to remove all co-op elements to reduce the insanity that would be the IL boards. Single character, single segment only.

Sorry, that sounds like what I'm looking for, but where is this option exactly?

Hey there.

Is there a way to remove an entry on a leaderboard (as redundant) if two people end up switching between player 1 and player 2?

An example is actually myself and my girlfriend:

https://www.speedrun.com/keeper?h=Co-op-Low&x=zdnxrpn2-6njq4mjl.mln0380q

We played this online a long time ago, then recently broke the record locally, but in that process (1P and 2P literally don't matter in this game) swapped sides compared to when we did it online.

So now 1P and 2P show up as two different runs and there doesn't seem to be a way to categorize us as the same run without switching sides next time. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.
