How should I/how do I have to record my runs?

Hey, I haven't ran a game before, and I don't have a setup to record gameplay, am I going to need to stream it to a pc and use seperate software, or is there another way I'm not aware of?

Depends on your setup!

If you have it on computer, easiest way is to download something called "OBS" (Open Broadcaster Software). You can easily capture "Game Windows" or "Window Captures" (the TMNT game) in that software, and setup a Twitch/YouTube account to stream it to those platforms, or, just record it locally without streaming at all.

To time it, you'll have to use a splitting program, and generally the most used one is "LiveSplit". This assumes you're using a PC and not a Mac. I'm unfamiliar with Mac.

If your copy of Shredder's Revenge is on a console, you'll need a physical capture card to capture the gameplay (and the same programs above.)

Good luck and feel free to message me anywhere if you have any questions!

Probably should have mentioned I have it on console, totally meant to, but thanks, I'll have to pick one up when I have the opportunity. My setup is borderline nonexistent so I'll just practice for the time being.

Sorry, I think you can just stream natively via XBOX and PS4, right? So that's an option as well - but Nintendo Switch, you'll need a capture card.

Yeah, I'm on switch, but the good news is my first run was 1:19:13 for story mode on chill, so I'm def gonna get a capture card asap. Appreciate all the tips, my guy.
