This isn't a dumb idea but I don't think this is possible from editing an smb rom. There are no textboxes or any text other than the text at the top of the screen so I don't think an error screen would work, nor do I think it would be possible to make a character warp back if they make a mistake while setting up fpg. Cool idea, just to my knowledge not possible on a standard smb rom.
This is awesome. Everyone uses sockfolder setup. Also, could you try a Verizon's for 4-20 clip?
I am 100% the wrong person to ask about fpg... I did make a gif of it in slow motion once for the gif thread - but that's the extent of my knowledge. Never even done it rta. There are several active people on the forums though that know it pretty well.
As a sort of jokes we call it blazing it. https://www.speedrun.com/smb1/thread/q85mx/1#4eqjp
Thanks @pellssonx That should be helpful. I have already gotten FPG to save bad undergrounds, so maybe I will be able to do it to where I can get it whenever I get a bad underground. A possible idea (I don't know how hard it would be) would be to have a way to JUST practice pole inputs.
I think this is going to be a game-changer in opening up FPG in runs for the non-Darbian/Kosmic/plate/somewes crowd as well as dramatically increasing consistency of it.
Any% (NTSC) runs below 4:57.000 must now fulfill additional requirements in order to be verified.
- The run's full session must be included in the submission description.
- For emulator runs below 4:57.000, some form of input display must be visible for the duration of the run. A hand-cam or input
