I submitted one time where Part 1 was the video linked and Part 2 was my comment (the recording stopped partway through the run, so I resumed very shortly after. The missing bit is nearly irrelevant and the validity of the run was confirmed in other ways, mostly by comparing the consistencies between the two videos). I would recommend either putting the second part in the comments or what ROMaster2 said, presuming it works.

Don't think this is a bot, but still feels like spam posts.

Eiterbeule, from OP: "Please keep in mind that using this thread is a last resort, in case the current moderators are not responding or refusing your help without justification. You should always start by asking the Super mods of a game/series as they are also able to add mods. Best way to contact game mods is probably through Twitter for now. Also try the game forums, many users get notifications when threads are created for games they follow.

Moderator inactivity doesn't apply until around 3 weeks, depending on other circumstances, and it is expected that you try to contact them (exceptions may be made if they have been offline ~3+ months.) "

I don't think that's allowed in most communities; I'd say your experiences are abnormal.

  • on the wiimote. If you can't skip them then you may have to beat the game once first.

It's not hard. If you have played the game before (yes, this is a requirement), simply put the save files FOR YOUR REGION onto a SD card, stick the card into your Wii, and copy them over (if you have save files for Skyward Sword already on your Wii then you will have to delete them first; if you want them put them somewhere safe). I would also recommend, if you plan on running the game, keeping those files on your computer/SD card so that you can copy them back over as necessary.

If you haven't played the game before, play the game, make a savefile, then go back out and do the above.

If you're not sure where to copy over savefiles from, in the lower-left corner should be the icon you need. I'm not sure how may layers in it is (it's 4am right now and I'm pretty tired and doing this off memory) but it shouldn't be too hard to find; it's not deep.

These steps will also work on a Wii U in Wiimode, though the icon in the bottom-left corner won't have as many options since the Wiimode gets its settings from the Wii U's settings.

Hope this helps. If you're still confused, I'll take a good, hard, look at it and get exact directions.

I'd say it's better split by Any% and 100%; since GC effectively 100%'s the dungeon anyway while the Wii run certainly does not. And also, the glitch is exclusive to USA Wii 1.0 only; it does not work on any other version, of which Wii has a few. But I agree, this topic does need more discussion, which is why I'd submitted the run in the first place.

Reply hazy, try asking again.

Shame, but nothing you can do about that then. Given that, what are the current rules for CoO Any% and CoO 100%, if there's a difference?

Instead of Any% and 100%, shouldn't there be Any%, First Trip 100%, and Second Trip 100%?

Any% would be to simply get to F50 as fast as possible (using any tricks possible) and can use either enemy set. First Trip 100% must complete all the floors and obtain the three Poe Souls, and is done on the first enemy set. Second Trip 100% must complete all the floors, and is done on the second enemy set.

For runs that use the first enemy set, the dungeon must be untouched (i.e. the three poes still have to be there, and in 1st 100% have to be obtained), for runs using the second enemy set, you obviously have to beat the dungeon once to unlock it so it'd be not untouched by default. For 100% categories, the torch debug routine is banned; this trick being part of the reason for separating Any% from 100%

Thoughts?

Figured out how to two-cycle this fight, and got it recorded in a run.

First cycle, freeze the tail like normal. We have to put in an extra Normal Missile (called Normal) to go along with the three Super Missiles (called Super), but this is free. I like the pattern of opening this cycle with a Super (since you can charge during the cutscene), then a Normal, then two Supers to advance to cycle two. Thus, the pattern Super-Normal-Super-Super for cycle 1. Alternative patters may work, but the important point is to get the health bar under halfway before ending this cycle.

Second cycle, once again, freeze the tail like normal. We also need to put an extra Normal into this cycle, but this one is harder. Open this cycle with a Super, then prepare to fire another Super and a Normal quickly thereafter, via rapid-fire missiles. If done right, the second Super will hit, the CS will trigger sending him to the third cycle, but the missile will hit, during the CS, killing him and transitioning to the death CS.

You have a bit over 1s after you fire the super to fire the normal missile (I estimate 1.3s)

Summary: First phase, Super-Normal-Super-Super. Second phase, Super-Super-Normal (Normal via rapid fire missiles).

-Clipped this fight from my PB to upload sooner. Enjoy.

Any objections, Adam?
