SupporterAs a former F-mod of the site yall's better be kissing Meta and Star's feet they didn't nuke the mod team, because if this was pulled when the site was run by volunteer staff the entire mod team would have been nuked off faster than any speedrun you've ever run. This is disgraceful and disrespectful towards anyone in the community.
This was a horrible idea and the fact that you don't feel any remorse over this is shameful. While I'm no longer involved in sr.c moderation, I do know the rules fairly well and it's incredibly clear that whoever decided to put this into place needs to re-read them, as this is explicitly against the site rules for moderating a leaderboard (as I'm sure by at this point you have been keenly reminded of).
For those who want to know what this breaks, the first rule under "Run Requirements" here - https://www.speedrun.com/knowledgebase/moderation-rules - and while some people might say "but rule 2 says we can" - no, it does not. It states that runs which are "clearly not making an effort to beat the category quickly may be rejected". This doesn't say that runs must be optimal, nor does it allow for a time cap. If someone decides to make a minor detour for safety, that's perfectly valid. Someone that prefers a slightly different route for personal reasons is perfectly valid. Someone submitting a Let's Play where they take a five minute break to go to the bathroom three times, take a half hour for dinner, and finally go take a shower, all before beating the game, that is something that can be considered as not making an effort to beat the category quickly. And something like that is not going to be caught with a general rule created by leaderboard mods. Something like that is caught by actually watching through and doing your job that you volunteered for as a leaderboard mod. If you don't want to do your job, then you can very easily step down and let someone else who does give a damn about this community. If it were up to me, yall's would be gone. Be damn thankful that decision is no longer mine, and be damn thankful those who still moderate this site haven't made that decision.

To expand on this a bit further: Your idea would not work for bug limit as bug limit is, by definition, no save and quit. The console actually checks the disc you use and while externally (Except to the trained eye which knows where to find the region code), 1.0 and 1.2 are the same, to the console, they are two different games. In order to disc swap you would have to save + reload the game anew, as attempting to hot-swap will cause the console to reject the different version and force the console back to the Wii Menu.
Even if this issue were not an issue for the console, what @Skyreon mentioned still holds true - one copy of the game, one console, one disc. In fact, I'd dare say it's probably better to use one controller only, however, I do not believe this has been discussed at length internally.
I'd also like to say thank you to everyone as well. Pac, for trusting me to bring me on as staff. Former and current staff (too numerous to mention), for the pleasure (and sometimes pain :P ) of working with you. Those who helped me out with becoming staff, you know who you are, and your input was most certainly heard and appreciated. Elo, for taking sr.c and starting to work to turn it into a better site. LewisAndSpark specifically, for everything you've done for sr.c staff past and present beyond just being part of Elo. There are plenty of things happening with sr.c that neither I nor other staff can mention, and they're things that make me hopeful for sr.c's future.
I'm incredibly grateful for the time I've spent on sr.c staff, and, dammit, despite all the hell involved in it sometimes (looks back at various April Fools gone horribly wrong), I'd do it again in a heartbeat. To Star and Meta, you guys know if you have questions you're always welcome to ask. To the rest of yas out there on staff, thanks for the memories, thanks for the times good and bad, and here's to the future. And to the rest of you out there, I think everything will be just fine in the end.

Some idiot submitted a pair of rickrolls to a game I moderate. Which isn't that funny except like, you would think the idiot would look at who mods the game and see that someone of staff mods it before deciding to troll... nah, that would be putting too much faith in humans.
Needless to say, that was a fairly quick ban.

@walkingcactus - 2FA was one of two failed requirements for consideration, the other is insufficient contacts. We require at least two direct forms of contact for us to consider any moderation request.
@GekkeHoed124 - Declined. Two weeks is not inactive, and a user moderating a lot of games is also not a valid reason to request moderator. Contact the moderators yourself, please, and if they decline to add you that is just going to be the decision. @Flyi - Declined to add for 2014, as you do not have a run or run pending in this game. I do, however, want to thank you for meeting the requirements in the first post, as I remember this was an issue the previous time I handled this thread. Your run is only pending six days at this point and the moderator isn't grossly inactive yet. Feel free to re-request this in a couple weeks if nothing has changed. @dngr - Declined as you are unable to be added as a moderator to any game. Had that not been the case, I would have forwarded this onto @R0main as they handled the board very recently regarding said user you are referring to. @Uncoolguy6 - Declined, as the run you submitted utilized a password to skip to the end of the game. @ThripacFershur - The moderator for WCW is not inactive. I would suggest potentially sending them a site message, as it appears they did let your run sit quite a bit, though. As for the other game, that moderator is inactive, but what kind of contact did you attempt to make for them, as some of their socials are active. @gilbsthecrush - Declined, as I strongly suspect the issue of fraudulent runs you are raising is your own creation. I did, however, enable "Runs Require Verification" as frankly, that setting should basically never be turned off. I would suggest reaching out to the moderator again, as they aren't that inactive on the site. @EBH - I chose to add @ProbsGamingYt as they did post before you. You technically fail requirements as your ROBLOX is not a direct form of contact (though I suspect as far as moderating a ROBLOX game is concerned, it probably is. Just does not count for site staff's requirements), but I will say that the decision on who to moderate is in their hands, as I have added them. @AriesFireTiger - Going to decline this, as while the user is not very active, they do come on to review runs shortly after they are submitted. Trust me. It's why as soon as I saw who the moderator was I simply changed moderators. There is almost no point to spending time to remove the user as a moderator on all the games they moderate - it would both take too long and be ineffective at putting active moderation onto the games. Note that there are other users who mentioned this game in this thread. They may reach out to you regarding moderation. @Lucha_Gym - Handled for Bebe's Kids. There isn't anything pending for the game from what I could tell.

@P1ZZAC4T - This is not the thread for this sort of request. To answer the question, we tend to not delete boards except in incredibly rare cases. If you feel one applies, contact site staff directly, and we will evaluate it. Regarding the posts by @ultimatehadcore , another member of site staff "solved the issue at hand". To those who responded, that was funny, but please don't. @Darmok57 - As was resolved, no action being taken (just acknowledging the post). @Lucha_Gym - I would recommend reaching out to the moderators yourself, in this case. I understand it can be frustrating but part of this thread is that you have to do your part regarding contacting users. I do see you have a run pending from the 5th. If this run continues to sit, maybe in the future would something be done by staff. But once again, at this point in time, the onus for doing something is on you. - This is regarding Takeshi's Challenge. @Naro - Show me a strong need, in site messages. I'll look at this internally with the game request queue as well. In short: not going to straight-up say no, but I need a lot of convincing to say yes. @YoloMenace001 - As the user is just barely inactive, I'm going to take a bit to discuss this internally. I believe most of what you're claiming regarding contacts for the user, having looked at them myself.

I sent them a message to check their activity on sr.c. @Shac0le - Sent them a message on sr.c myself. @Mattinator - Sent them a message on sr.c myself. @andresfgp13 - Sent them a message on their twitter, which is fairly active. @AlexisDR - I asked @starsmiley about this, as they are site staff and a board moderator. I suspect they will respond the same as you (judging by the fact they +1'ed your post) but I'd still like to confirm nonetheless.

@afnannen136 - Breakdown below. Handled Psych. I leave it to the active super mod if they want to do anything regarding you, as they added you on the 28th of December last year. I am going to decline doing anything with the games in the FIFA series, as I am not going to push you up to super - I don't feel comfortable doing so - and I do not want to deal with those games not having a super moderator. I have not done anything yet with Parking Fury 3. I have reasons for that. Do not confuse my inaction here with a declination of doing anything, however. I would simply like to look into this situation in much greater detail.
@JohnnyTest - Simply noting publicly this got handled without staff intervention, though you were already well aware of that. @ComradeDiana - I didn't catch your more recent post (I'll skip over it in my next post), but I did handle this on the 5th. As you probably realized that day :P

I mean, site functionality from the aspect of not having the "Site Under Pressure" has been a fair bit more of a focus recently.

Make a short, coherent post for us to read over so we can actually understand the issue at hand, please. @RubberDuckyAssassin - I think you may have put the wrong game in here. You already moderate the game you linked. If that is in fact the game you are referring to, there is an active super mod on the game you can discuss things with. @JohnnyTest - Have you tried contacting the user? They're very active on their socials. @Lucha_Gym - Nothing for me to do at this time as the moderator did come on to verify the run. If something comes up in the future, perhaps then something can be done. @Narvi - Have you tried contacting the other moderators? Is there a specific reason you need super moderator? Not going to handle this request at this time as, given the information available, I don't feel like this change is necessary.
@ComradeDiana - Going to give this a couple days since your run was submitted so recently. If nothing by late Monday, then I will handle this.

If we accept the game, we approve one request and reject the rest. However, that does not necessarily mean we take the first request in these circumstances.
Acknowledged, @mxnkeh_ - just a lot of accounts to deal with there.
Please just link a user's profile, such as https://www.speedrun.com/user/Habreno , or a user's forum posts, such as https://www.speedrun.com/Habreno/allposts instead of using a screenshot. Those are large and unwieldy and I still have to search the user myself to even start looking at this.
Edit: Looked at somewhat, and that is all I can divulge at this time, for reasons.
Edit2: A good way to do this would be to plug the base string (in this case "placuszek") and include a few users for direct linking. Still avoids a screenshot and is informative.
