If you guys are curious about the title, don't think about that this is some sort of elaborate early April fool's day prank, then it actually it's not the case.

In the next few days starting around March 31st, I will be stepping down from my position as a super moderator for the dungeon quest speedrun website. A little over a few years when this category existed, it would not only be there to help expand as a nice edition for more speedrun possibilities instead on the official discord server. Whether you like dungeon quest or not, always cherish the games that you play regardless of the outcome. I Will be focusing my time on my youtube channel along with other things I won't be discussing.

In the meantime, my role will be passed over to @Jaydene19248 or also known as unpopular neon 2015. He will still continue to manage the categories, forums, as well as updates for the changelog being provided. He has done a good job in updating the runs and categories whenever I was busy.

I'll be looking to find another person to fill in the next moderator, so if anyone is interested, either contact me privately or @Jaydene19248 about it and will be looking in to it. You can also post in the forum thread here. Post will be locked once a new mod will be accepted.

Greetings Dungeon Quest Speedrunners.

As of 5/26/22, the official dungeon quest discord has posted a speedrun rules list that includes the official rules list they will be using. I'll be utilizing almost the majority of the rules that will be used to be almost exact of what they use on the server.

This includes the following of the re-introduction to skill points that are used officially by them, showing the skill points and armor being used, boss manipulation, and third-party hardware being used. Misc changes will also include for the site to now add a 4th place icon, rules update, and a Bonus boss category. Run that have fallen before the skill point change that hasn't shown proof will be moved to the old category called w/o skill points. This will not apply to the plus speedrun categories as provided.

We want to just put this message up in regards to co-op runs in the dungeon quest speedrun site. For the past weeks and months, there have been some runs that were viewed to have players join with speedrunners or others joining in for the speed runs. If any speedruns that have co-op runs doing anything will get your submission denied. It is acceptable to have them in but THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING. The reason that there won't be any co-op runs to be added is that the number of runs that would have to be created would be too much of a hassle. There will be plans specifically for co-op runs in the future if they planned to get too difficult to speedrun.

I was normally going to post this earlier during the summer but I wanted to let you all know that I will be stepping down as the main super moderator for Mega Fun Obby. This experience from my first moderated game has led me to become of me knowing the surroundings of how the procedures work on the website and the steps provided to make the game a better place. Normally, this game has some ups and downs that didn't expect to meet, but it made the players who speedrun this as much as possible for a great experience. Before I'll pass on the torch to someone else, I would let you all know about a few of the changes on this site and the new category called Item%.

1. New changes now follows that the Game Rules have now been added, along with the 220 IL stage that I added in the past few months. For those curious about the ILS may not be completed for god knows how long, unless if the stages provided to the owner are fully renovated or so.

2. I've added a new category that will be located in the misc category near Portal% called Item%. This will feature the same stages as you did in your speedruns but include items this time with no skips. This also includes pretty much the same rules as well.

As of this point in the week, any speedrunners who have run for portals 1-3 will be retimed correctly to make it accurate. I've been noticing a few runs that have times they ended while landing on stage 100. If your times have been readjusted, you will be notified.

All portal runs will now be counted for those who have touched the portal at the end now. Also, since the new update came out for June 9th which has renovated up to stage 230 in the portal 3 categories. This will be changed as well into the old% as well.

Hey all. I haven't really provided lots of updates since there hasn't been a lot of changes going on. During the past month, I have been swapping and moving all the old any% category run for both the 550 and 1000 stages. Those old runs have been moved there and will not be deleted or anything but only as an archive. Shoutouts to @Crazy_Quackers

Any runs that have been uploaded from youtube before the 7/26 - 7/28 stages were rebranded will be submitted and accepted to the old run categories.

(Not the stage number). Your Stage must equal the number of stages in the top right corner for the run to count. The run must be completed in one go, without pauses.

You may not use other Robloxians to your advantage (e.g. using their head as a footstool). You may not use the "Skip this Stage" button, nor any of the items available in the shop. No glitches/exploits Game passes are prohibited

Upload Rules:

An outside timer must be used to time your run. Screenshots are allowed but must have a timer w/splits to prevent cheating. If your streaming on twitch, crop your video(s) down by using the highlight tool, where the 3 dots are located.

Hey Everyone, I have introduced both the 1500 and 2000 stages in all categories. I was thinking for months about this to be acceptable because I didn't want anyone to sit for 6-8 hours doing this. This was first suggested by @Lusonice2021.

In addition, I've also have made ILS for every 10 stages that you get a badge from. Don't request me to add every single level cause that will be boring. The rules for the ILS will just be about the same principle. There are only 21 of them added so far because MFO hasn't been full renovated yet.

For the past few months, I wanted to introduce a few new short categories that will help make this potentially faster for players. Here is one of those categories called Obby Land. Remember, you have to be on the number of stages in total on the game. This run will take an average of 5 minutes to complete.

~ Complete the obby as fast as possible ~

General Rules:

• Timing begins at the middle of the platform after you touched the portal.
• Timing ends when you touched the badge.
• The run must be completed in one go, without dying.
• Items/Gamepasses are prohibited
• Cheating/exploiting are not allowed.

Greetings everyone. I wanna give my apologies to the delay that has been going for the past months of working with IRL things in my life. During the past few months, while I was rebranding some new ideas, I've come across an idea that will make runs more shorter for players to enjoy. There were a few complaints regarding more shorter categories, and the feedback has been answered.

The first idea that was come across is the new Portal% runs in Mega Fun obby. How this run(s) will work is that certain sections in obbies will have portals during the end of a section. This type of run will estimate into about 15-20 minutes for the average player to complete. Here is a list of stages that are compiled during the end of each portal that's been touched.

Portal 1: Ends at Stage 118 Portal 2: Begins at Stage 118, and ends on Stage 364 Portal 3: Begins at Stage 364, and ends on Stage 633 Portal 4: Begins at Stage 633, and ends on Stage 861 Portal 5: Begins at Stage 861, and ends on Stage 1000

The rest of the rules are about applied to the same runs just like you did in the 550-1000 stages. List are here:

For those who weren't aware, there was a significant game error that caused a huge data loss after the update a few hours ago. This data loss affected players from the amounts of mlp points, pets, stages, and rebirths. The game was shutdown shortly after to prevent further data loss from players. We'll continue to provide updates from the owners of the game soon.

Over the past few days, Roblox forced a update that made old physics games in experimental mode. This mode allows users to only be enabled to players who haven't had experience with Roblox studio. There is one disadvantage to the cause. Your account has to be 13+ of age, and must be friends with the creator of the game or group. This makes wall flinging completely unviable.

(I wanted to posted this earlier but didn't had a lot of time anyways. Also, I don't know if someone has posted an earlier topic on this.)

For this post, I want to request to remove some games that gotten completely under reviewed, or deleted in some ways. This might upset some of you, or you maybe happy with this. Since games like Brick bronze have been deleted from copyright, it still kinda worries that the game is sill on the speedrun site without knowing.

I have complied a list of what games that I've requested to remove under a few categories provided. There are also a few suggestions that i need to made in order to help out a bit.

Runs with Wall Flinging: Ok, i'm not saying that runs with wall flinging needs to be removed. I seen within about a year ago haven't found anything if it still works in 2018. I've talked to TheBronzeSword stating that wall flinging needs to work with r6 in old physics games back then. I haven't 100% confirmed it still works back then. (If anyone wants to provide evidence it still works, send to me on my discord.)

Obbies: Some of the obby games I've seen in the site uploaded with low visits that a few people don't know of. My suggestion is that if an obby game has accumulated 1m+ place visits, then it will be accepted. Don't know how this will impact since that has been thousands and thousands of uploaded obbies in roblox.
