Makes sense, most ACE glitches involve abusing items in the inventory, which this game does not have. Still I wonder if there are other ways to write new memory values in.
ACE is an incredibly powerful glitch, but there is no realistic way to edit memory in valuable ways. Plus, the run is so short that it's possible that warping to 8-1 wouldn't even be faster, depending on what's found. That's assuming that ACE is ever found in SMB1 which is unlikely.
