These notes are for those who have an understanding of the chest locations and storyline progression already. It has minor visual reminders for directions in the more confusing sections and instead focuses on highlighting advanced location based techniques like Bridge hoping and Speed Sloping.

Fair Warning, my routes are notably risky in many parts by trying to take fewer/faster fights while gaining less gold and magic xp in an attempt to get small time saves with not much room for safety. Which works when it works but can sometimes have you needing to improvise as you go or accepting the time loss.

ArcadiaLegend's Any% Beginner Notes

If you're looking to try doing a run, these beginner notes can help get you started. Just don't try to claim them as your own work or the rains of destruction shall come down upon you. But seriously, lots of people's time and effort went into these notes. Please pay attention to a specific note in the guide regarding a preventable softlock on emulator before the Chameleon 1 fight.

Please note an issue was discovered with the four giant monsters that can cause them to respawn after fighting them. This is preventable, so please read the forum topic on this for more information.

Also, providing the information below because it has caused confusion in the past. This information was provided by Noseguy:
Legend rank vs. Three Secrets have separate requirements.
For the Swashbuckler rank “Vyse the Legend” to show up in the X menu, you just need:
-226 Reputation or higher
-All 88 Discoveries
-All 8 bounties
-All treasure chests
-View the final Maria & Piastol cutscene

To access the Three Secrets, you need:
-226 Reputation or higher
-All 88 Discoveries
-All 8 bounties
-108 Treasure Chests obtained or higher (over 90%)
-2500 enemies killed or higher
-12 optional ship battles or higher
-Recruit all 22 crew members
-Defeat all four Giant Monsters
-Once all above are fulfilled, open the X menu at least once

It is possible to have Legend rank but not Three Secrets and vice versa. Just keep this in mind.

SDA Timing

Technically, this TAS was done back in June but I wanted to post it here to give it more visibility. This is the first iteration and Jahorta does plan to do more with it. It's been described a test TAS but still an amazing time regardless. Excited to see how low the time can go!
