Yo, Ik there is a way to get 1.2.1 - 1.2.5 to work, free world record. I suck at minecraft speedruns tho so I'm not doing it
So , if you go into %appdata% and cut and paste .minecraft to your desktop, you can play minecraft 1.2.1 - 1.2.5 without the game crashing. At least that's what I think. Idk, I haven't tried the trick for a while so it might not work.
go into options.txt in the .minecraft folder and delete the line thats says lang:US

Whenever my game crashes on start up for 1.1-1.6.1, I just load 1.0 and then the others work again, but it's probably different for you
