Is there a way to setup an in-game timer for PS4 or should I just time the in-game time after the run is completed?
Also is it required to show the in-game time in your video or can you just submit it after timing it afterwards?
Well, the thing is, Console is so different from PC that it would have to be it's own category, possibly even it's own game entirely. No clue how to time it either.
I know there is console edition leaderboard but they don't have a lot of categories and this leaderboard accepts other platforms than PC
"Also is it required to show the in-game time in your video or can you just submit it after timing it afterwards?"
I can't speak for the mods, but I have always retimed it on stream later so both real time and game time are in the video I post Just because its way easier for mods to verify.
I should come in here more often, that is why I prefer people to directly contact me through twitter or discord. I have no way of getting notifications from forums.
the console edition leaderboard is some joke someone made that I have no control over. We do not recognize them as separete and rate them next to the PC versions.
As for IGT it's ok if you time it afterwards. It's not hard for me to verify that the time is correct.
The problem about comparing console to PC though is that there are many different features. The ender dragon acts differently(a bed is not a good way to defeat the ender dragon in console), the end always generates all crystals with 2 of them being in cages, and I have never seen an end portal with more than 4 ender eyes (the most ender pearls I've seen in a chest is 2).
there are many version differences between different PC versions too. we should add console versions to the version variable probably.
