Optifine is allowed as long as you don't use zoom, I'd bind it to a far away key
in order to do an "all achievements" speedrun.. how do you reset your achievements?
Every new Computer edition world has their own storage for achievements thus any new world can be used
There's way to know the map without Recreate or knowing seed, or wasting time. Is it treated as what cate?
I do not understand what you mean with that, l4m2, please explain what you mean.
l4m2 if your saying: "There is a way of knowing about a map without knowing the seed or recreation of the world or wasting time on said world, would this count as random seed" Then I don't think it would count as the whole point of random seed (as far as I'm aware) is the inability to plan for it, adding to its difficulty/complexity/skill required. If you knew the map, part of this extra difficulty would be removed.
It's just the same difficulty as recreating an explored random seed map, so it seems should go to set seed? but we've never create a set seed map in the whole progress
As far as I'm aware, set seed doesn't just mean you typed in the seed. If you recreate a random seed world the seed is already inputted for you (click recreate, click more options) so would become set seed. if you think of the random seed category as "you are not allowed to prepare for this run in any way" I think that makes more sense. Knowing about a seed before you go on it would mean you can prepare so then, If we say random seed is defined in this statement, knowing about the seed would no longer be random.
carrying data over from a world made before the run or from a world which doesn't follow all the rules of the category (i.e.uses cheats) is illegal. not sure if it's specifically stated anywhere.
Only said 8. You may not read or write to the world or options files outside of Minecraft in any way. but in fact that's unnecessary
- For 'Random Seed' runs, the world must be a blank seed or a random seed generated by a Speedrunslive channel.
Fair enough idea l4m2 but I think 11 may discount any data transfer
And there comes another problem: If I do two runs and have data transfer between without editing files outside of Minecraft, timing the sum of running, is it allowed, allowed as glitch, or banned?
If you time from the first world created and all worlds follow the rules (survival, no bonus chest, no cheats) then it's a legal glitch.
Those categories should probably have a rule stipulating that they have to have been fought in the same world.
It would be even longer to perform a run in 3 different worlds (in a random way I mean) But in set seed, wouldn't make that much sense, you could do 3 different category for the 3 different bosses (but remove the dragon because obviously it's a normal run category here)
