So for a few months, I have been working on a video on the topic of 454 in any%. You may have seen me comment on it before, and I even contacted a few top runners. I am glad to say that it is done and will be on YouTube very soon. When it is uploaded I will put a link to it on this thread. Please enjoy
No slowdown FPG saves 19 frames and not 18 frames in 8-1, and similarly, fast acceleration saves 2 frames and not 3. There's no 3 frame window in the FPG setup since everything must be done frame perfectly. There's not always 0 frames to spare in 1-1 depending on how well you did the underground section. The frame perfect, 1 frame jump is the harder part of 1-2. The difficulty of 4-1 FPG and 1-1 FPG are pretty similar, but most people go for 1-1 FPG first because that's earlier in the run. The inputs for fast acceleration are left+b, b, right+a+b, right+b, and not left+b, a+b, right+b. TAS 8-2 saves 3 framerules over normal 8-2. The 8-3 FPG setup is easier than the 8-1 setup. It is technically possible to get 4:54 with an 8-4 with no fast accelerations, but most runners go for 1 in the third room.
Thank you dasmilecat. Most of my info came from older videos from people like summoning salt or bismuth so I guess a lot of stuff has changed since then. Also most of the video was recorded at 3am so I often Mis spoke and didn’t catch it. Thank you for catching all that. I will try to clean up the video a bit, but I have some other stuff that I need to get done soon.
maybe you should leave the names of clips you used in the description, so the runners don't eat you. i enjoyed it a lot!
I liked the video a lot! The main thing that I noticed that I think you should work on is stuttering, but other than that I think it was great!
Don’t worry about it, the best way to fix it is to practice. It’s not to big of a deal anyway
Effective immediately, any submissions using the SNES9x emulator will not be verified. The SMB1 mod team has concerns about its integrity due to its ability to overclock and remove lag frames, which may not be easily detectable. Additionally, we request that all BizHawk submissions avoid using the S
