nope it comes out but disappears again when I click the screen.
in a set seed speed run are you allowed to know where the stronghold is
Hello Minecraft Speedrunning community! I want to get into speedrunning this game but I had a question about the rules. They state:
Resource Pack Rules
Resource packs are allowed if they clearly and uncontroversially provide no advantage over the built-in resource packs
You must provide a download link for the resource pack you use
If you use a resource pack, please read the detailed resource pack rules at http://bombch.us/DOOK
Please run on vanilla if you do not need a mod to improve your game performance
However in Couriway's latest any% glitchless 1.16 world record, it appears he is using something that enhances the games brightness greatly. This is especially evident at 11:50 where you can see the world turning night time, but the brightness still looks like day time.
So my question is, are fullbright mods allowed? If not, how did Couriway get his game so bright?
Edit: After checking a few more runs I see most people are using some fullbright mod. So I assume it is allowed? It seems a bit like that would give an advantage over pure vanilla which is why I ask.
Edit2: Well I guess I didn't read enough. I missed the part that says "gamma can be set up to 5.0". I initially thought it referred to brightness but realized they are two separate settings.
This might be stupid but what is the setting that makes the edges of your screen see better in the nether? I've seen many speedrunners use it and I just can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Thank you.

Now that Fabric is banned what can I do to boost my FPS. I don't know if this is important information but I used to use JellySquid.
No, no, Sizzler announced that all runs with Fabric API - I stress the importance of A P I - will be banned starting from February 1st will be rejected. You do not need to have Fabric API to run JellySquid performance mods.
My Run got rejected because i used Fabric. What mods are allowed?
your run was likely rejected for using Fabric API. You can use Fabric loader to run Sodium, Lithium and Phosphor which do not require Fabric API.
When exactly does the timer start in a speedrun? Is it immediately after the loading screen? or do I wait like 2 seconds for the chunks to load then start?
What mod loaders are allowes, since fabric api isn't anymore?
All the the stuff I find to caffeine is for fabric and not a mod loader. Can you maybe send a link?
Can you change the difficulty in 1.16.1 rsg? So obviously not easy, but from normal to hard for example.
@karli_kolumbus09 You can change the difficulty to whatever you like, including easy. (Not peaceful, though)
- (1.20-1.20.6) StandardSettings 1.2.4 has been ported to 1.20-1.20.6.
- (1.19+) Planifolia 1.0.1 for 1.19+: supports launching without Sodium for gamma 5 by itself and fixes a visual desync of the entity culling option when it is set via StandardSettings
