I want to start a YouTube channel where I do minecraft speedruns because it is currently extremely popular and I’m really interested but although I know the general format of what to do in a Speedrun I don’t know how to execute strats like educated travel , calculated travel , triangulation , pie ray etc. Can anyone help me
You can watch YouTube videos about them
Youtube is def your best bet but here's a quick bit.
Use some type of 2nd travel macro. Press f3 + shift to open the pie chart. Press the correct numbers to get to your block entities (youtube that) and use shift + f3 + f to lower render distance (rd) and f3 + f to raise your rd. Look for the white triangle in overworld, that usually indicates a blacksmith. Use the blue triangle to find a mob spawner (usually fortress). You'll use your render distance to identify which direction the fortress is in (youtube it). If you're doing buried treasure (bt) use that set of number inputs to find the orange triangle. Set your rd to 5, if it spikes you have a chest (bt, mineshaft, shipwreck, ocean ruins, or dungeon) 👍
k4 has a great series on bastion routes and blaze fights and pie ray stuff. and i think ninjabrains guide on axis calculated is probably the best. you might also wanna look at the leaderboard times to see how they deal with stuff, maybe even practice on those seeds.
also, calculated is bad because calculators are unbanned, use the ninjbrain bot:
mcsr is just a "can your pc handle multi instance then you get a sub 15" simulator, dont bother speedrunning unless you actually enjoy doing it
Just watch YouTube videos on each strat and then practice them on leaderboard seeds or fsg seeds.
