Yo epic speed runners! I watched a lot of speed runs and somehow the Enderdragon instantly fly to the player and than to the portal... Is this just luck, or they make some epic movement? (has nothing to do with one Circling to be honest)

perches are mainly luck

yea is random they going to the portal area, it eventualy happends

The further you stand away from the bedrock fountain the faster it perches

You could shoot down some crystals but that results in the dragon strafing

stay on the opposite side of the dragon. there is a list of certain "actions" that the dragon can do, and staying far away doesnt allow it to shoot fireballs at you, thus increasing the chance of the dragon perching
