If someone forked optifine for 1.16 and made it viable for speedruns. Will we be able to use optifine again

idk probably not lol

why not just use sodium lithium and phosphor?

shawdy and Shmalex like this

optifine shouldn't even be allowed for pre 1.16 but people will start crying if they can't get their precious frames.

@Slackow i perfer optifine but im using sodium lithium and phosphor, im just wondering about if that would get optifine reallowed

no, it wouldn't, because optifine has zoom and some other stuff like that. it's not hard to play vanilla.

United States

@strawby i said a fork of optifine

@Eyeball if you don't want any of that stuff, then why do you want optifine so bad?

United States

@strawby i just prefer optifine since it has a lot more quality settings than sodium

My own computer runs optifine MUCH better than sodium. Sodium does work a bit better than vanilla, but it's different for every computer while optifine is more consistent imo

It would be nice if a viable optifine fork did happen but I kinda doubt it would happen
