Upgrade Complete (https://www.speedrun.com/uc/) is a pretty fun webgame. Not terribly time consuming either.
Also, not quite "obscure" but Tetris for the Game Boy! It's a classic, can't go wrong with it.
I'm requesting Super Mod on Upgrade complete (https://www.speedrun.com/uc/). The two current super mods have been inactive for a long time.
samnam_style has been offline for nearly an entire year. His link to his youtube channel is no longer valid, and both of the run videos he has submitted to speedrun.com have been unlisted on YouTube. I think that makes it fairly clear he doesn't have any intentions of coming back.
I reached out to sprilx about a month ago, asking if he was going to come back and moderate, or if he could make me mod. He came online to mod me, and appears to not have been on since then. Prior to that he had been offline for several months, if I recall correctly.
If I could take over as Super Mod for this game that would be great. Thanks!
EDIT: now that I've posted this it appears that sprilx has come back on quite recently. I guess I'll message him about this.
I would be down, if nobody else is
Is it allowed to do runs on an actual GB (or in my case a GBC)? I've been playing on it a lot recently and I'd like my next run to be on there. Is the whole "webcam pointed at the screen" thing frowned upon or completely disallowed?
Probably not a bad idea, as the only mod hasn't been on in quite a while. (I'm salty my run hasn't been verified yet haha)
I've just come across this community while searching for Gameboy games to run. This is listed as a game for Gameboy, while it does not exist on that platform. It is also listed as being available on many systems such as the N64, the Dreamcast, the entire Gameboy series, and the PS2, none of which actually have this game.
'You don't often hear about people 60 or 70 years old playing video games"
That's because they didn't have anywhere near the exposure we have today. If you're 40 or younger, you've probably had video games for almost as long as you've been alive. Nobody who's grown up all their life having video games has gotten to 60 or 70 yet. I'm sure in 30-40 years time there'll be plenty of old farts still playing games.
Should run times be in-game timer or real-time timer? Previous runs have been run either way.
Was happening to me on Chrome earlier, thanks Timmiluvs
I am unable to log in on Google Chrome. Attempting to results in a "welcome back" message, followed by the page reloading and still not being logged in.
