This is a very unfortunate discovery that will definitely need further discussion/decision making, but I personally think it will be allowed as it is just personal preference and it'd be weird to force people to play with music on that prefer to listen to their own music and have in game music off. However, even though this would save considerable time, considering the currently limited amount of competition, the time save will likely not have a major effect on the boards. I think most people will just keep it on by default and further discussion needs to happen regarding the rules here.
That sounds pretty cool tbh, the only issue maybe being that depending on luck, it could take TOO long. If you're able to complete a full run of it (and showcase all the items collected), I'm more than down to add the board though.
@SioN no clue tbh, I definitely am not the majority of posts on here though, at most I've done maybe like 25-30% of them.
If it's a timer you made yourself, you can make it so it is 'always on top' via code. If not, and it doesn't have that option, I'd reccomend just using livesplits instead.
Most speedruns are under an hour, depends on what you'd want to run. For any ps5 games you'd play over an hour, I'd ask the specific community for that game for what to do. The youtube vod thing would definitely count though assuming that it works. You can also always try recording with a phone, it works for any console.
