That's interesting Bastant. Does the game check to see if you have respawned at the hospital, and if you did it spawns an ambulance? However it's checking this it can be tricked by a replay, it might not be useful but still interesting to know.
EDIT: Oh it needs the side mission, interesting... could we perhaps dupe a police bike?

EDIT: The pen and paper suggestion stems from a similar question about Hearthstone deck trackers, which would track which cards you had drawn from you deck, letting you know what was left and therefore what chance you had to draw the card you wanted.
The lead designer of Hearthstone said: "any app that duplicates what you can do with a pencil and paper already is fine." https://twitter.com/bdbrode/status/511151446038179840
The point here is that, you CAN write down everything you had already drawn, but it would be a pain in the ass. While trackers like this do provide an advantage (less to think about, less time writing shit down in the pen/paper case) it's an ACCEPTABLE advantage, like someone having a slightly faster PC or a lower response time screen. Your never going to get 100% even playing field.
EDIT 2: It obviously needs to be rephrased
We have no idea what PS is like, since we don't own one to test it on. The only thing I know for sure is that The Great Mexican Train Robbery mission might not crash on PS, but you might have issues elsewhere, we're not too sure! :D
Hey man! Glad to see more people interested in trying red dead, sorry I took awhile to respond to you because I was at Insomnia with a load of other speedrunners. I'll keep it short because I'm a bit tired but basically, yeah you need to be on the unpatched version of the game, the disc one without any patches at all, otherwise all the glitches don't work.
Hey anyone know if Ashcash has been added to the list of people coming? He's coming with me giving me a lift there, not sure if you guys ever got his real name or not.
We'll be there in a few hours (3-4)

Unless someone brings capture equipment and it is simple to setup, then no. So far no one has offered to bring one.
Yeah fuck that, I don't want RDR to become what GTA V has become with all different, slightly less stupid categories. I also don't want the limited runs that have been done to now become outdated/not actually called Any%. I vote for changing Any% to not allow checkpoint skips, maybe by wording it like "You must gain percentage from each mission" or something? Any% with mission skips can be a misc category I guess...
Old post, I just noticed it... Nevertheless you don't get a mission/checkpoint skip option when you start a new game and play through it, you only get that option when redoing missions from the missions menu... Right?
I don't have too much feedback to give, the only real thing I would say is that the dual stream setup really shone this year. Although others have noted the problem with interference between the streams because they are in the same room, I would say that I actually don't think this was a bad thing. Last year the yellow stream was in a tiny room, at the other end of the venue to the "main" stream, and it really did feel like the "second stream". This year because they were in the same place, it really did seem like it was just the "other" stream. The other option, the other perspective. While the twitch viewer count was lower then the Purple stream (I really couldn't give a shit) it felt as thought out and as well produced as the other. Sure it had less "professional" things on it sometimes, but that was the fun of it! So yeah, I think this year you really proved the "dual stream" haters wrong, hell even I questioned it a few times last year. (The fact that people are even mentioning it this year means it was better then last years)
Speaking of professional-ness, I would like to give a counter-point to some of the things said by a few posters before me. I actually enjoy the lack of donation/charity whoring, "professional" hosters, and "donation hype train"ers. This is what makes ESA different to the GDQs. This isn't what ESA should be about. The GDQs are a charity marathon ran by a company (more or less) to raise money for a cause. ESA is a speedrun marathon, by runners for runners, and really represents the community, warts and all, and I love it!
For that 2nd video, I normally do this instead
It's a lot easier to do that jump then it is to quickly jump down to that second level and jump over. Seems faster too. The jumping over the box thing seems cool though
I believe that was Melis's first course of action Avantgardian, but apparently it wasn't enough
There is a pretty good website that helps with this, https://obsproject.com/estimator
But basically it depends on what kind of game you're streaming, 1080p high speed PC games need a good PC and internet to do decently, but Mario on the NES will take a lot less.
With those specs and depending on your internet you could probably do the latter, but probably not the former
Twitch is offering $200 to the first person who can beat each wing of Blackrock. Anyone without a full card collection on NA shouldn't really bother though, and we all know how Blizzard's servers do when an expansion comes out.

Just thought I'd post here anyway, in case anyone is interested.
Yeah that's pretty cool, I'll add the category. Not sure about the name though, I thought it would just be Class Challenges Any% Normal or Normal%. I'll have to rename the other categories while I'm at it
EDIT: OK renamed the categories to be just what the game calls them in the menu (Normal, Class Challenges and Heroic) and I removed the "Any%" or "Normal%" parts since there is no alternate %, and I added your run to Class Challenges... Now we just need a Heroic run :D
