I think saying "the extent of dupes in SA isn't as significant as the SSU in VC, therefore we shouldn't add dupeless% on that ground" is pretty arbitrary.

Personally I'm not bothered about this either way, but VC is very different because of SSU. You cannot compare VC's situation with no SSU to SA any% vs dupeless

Teravortryx and I had this discussion recently on discord regarding defining the rules. I paged in ShadowDraft as he seems to be the only active mod currently but he never responded. The quick climbing is absolutely fine, it isn't a glitch. As you said it's just doing fast inputs to achieve something faster, jumping off a ladder and regrabbing it in mid air is intended. As for the alley no OoB strat, this is very different. Being able to 'jack' your way past that gate is much less intended and it also causes a sequence break. Teravortryx and I both agreed with that andyrockin123 says, fast climbing should be allowed but alley skip should not.
@hatethemall without adding my opinion to this, it is absolutely possible to hide a running application from your taskbar. Windows does it all the time while you are browsing and so do hundreds of other programs.
Depends where you want it exactly, are you playing in fullscreen/do you have two monitors?
The fixes available aren't allowed in speedrunning unfortunately. The best thing you can do as mentioned in this thread (https://www.speedrun.com/gtavc/thread/mintr) is to change your mouse and game sensitivity until you find a happy medium.
Controller is absolutely recommended. As for getting it to work i'm not sure as mine worked from the get go. Make sure you have the correct driver for the controller so it works correctly with your PC.
As for actually playing the game, you should focus on enjoying the game casually first before looking to speedrun it. You may find after actually playing the game that you don't like it. Playing is very different from watching an experiences runner making everything look easy. Just have fun and enjoy learning everything about the game, it is really fun the first time round
Doesn't sound like a sensitivity issue. Are you sure your mouse works outside of the game? Do you perhaps have a controller plugged in that is causing the camera to move without you knowing?
There's no reason to allow a mod that fixes an issue when it can be fixed easily without the mod. You don't need a modern mouse or external software to change dpi

Not sure how that falls under bullshit, that happens every time. You have to face the garage to enter it, makes perfect sense to me
