@Zachoholic's post: I like how the actual TheGamerLand was at the end, as while reading about the other accounts associated with them I thought it was a website, not an account. :P

Hey, it got changed! I can't tell to what, though. :P

I'd rather not have something inappropriate or potentially offensive. I feel like the current background is. I also feel like it's distracting, and this kind of moving background doesn't work well.

Ice Age, for GBA. :) I haven't had time to set a good time, yet... but somebody beating the current World Record (which shouldn't be too difficult, I assume) might motivate me to get back to it. :P

Edit: Wow, we got Emoji now? Edit 2: What does 'stater' mean?

How do you expect to get these games?... Or are you planning to acquire them through illegal means?

Awesome! But I don't get why this would be needed for the icons. I mean, I know it is, but why do some devices show images blurred when they shouldn't have to?

I don't think I'll ever be able to make it to a GDQ, as they're always in the USA. I will of course try to watch anything interesting (and not too gruesome), though. :)
The WR to SMB was beaten 13 days ago. SMB came out 32 years ago.

That's my answer.
True. But for SMB, a seemingly perfect time has been established a while ago. And this new WR is still a bit off from that.

That highly depends on the game. If the mods seem inactive, try to contact them or something.

I was about to ask "Hasn't it always been this way?" But Lighnat0r's post answered my question: no, it has not, but it has been, ever since I got here.

Do you actually know Latin, I wonder?... Not to be rude, you genuinely made me curious. :P

@Aureus_Lunae: But why Lunae? I guess that means it's a singular genitive or dative or a plural nominative... while it would seem much more logical to me to simply use the singular nominative. Besides, why doesn't 'Aureus' congruent? And lastly, why is the adjective in front? ;) I'd definitely go with "Luna_Aurea" myself, but hey, of course you've got creative freedom. :)

Anyway: interesting topic! As to myself: I don't share the origins of my name, but I will say I've used it since around 2005, when I was 6 years old. :)

The Dutch translation is very incomplete. But hey, I don't know if anyone would actually use it anyway, as I think every speedrunner from the Netherlands will surely speak fluent English...

Could you record the game? Quality doesn't matter, but video evidence is required. :) I checked out Namco Museum yesterday. I might pick it up if I come across it once, but I probably won't buy it online, as it doesn't interest me too much. Also, a bit of feedback: the background for the Namco Museum theme on speedrun.com is too busy and distracting, I think. :)

That's alright. :) I am planning on a full series on tricks and glitches on YouTube, but it might take years or never get finished, as I don't have a lot of time for it. Here's the first video, though:

Synthesizer Greatest. :) Autobahn used to be my favourite, but I think I like Moments in Love more nowadays.

One thing that isn't completely clear to me: do you want to program an AI to speedrun a game, or do you want to program a neural network that tries to 'learn' to speedrun a game?

And this is how a thread about a simple question that has been anwered, can manage to turn into a discussion. :P

I like how Drakodan talked about a lot of different uses. Myself, I like to keep it minimal, and besides the splits of my PB and the timer, I've only got the Sum of Best Segments displayed. :) In some games you need to split at very obvious moments - like at the end or start of every level. That makes it easy to do. :) And if you do forget a split or split accidentally, you can move up or down in your splits using LiveSplit, or, if you're not comfortable doing that during a run, you could always fix the splits afterwards. The timer's the most important thing at all times, but splits can be very helpful as well!
