Why is Arcade required for All Cups? I'd think you could use any difficulty. Arcade is probably the fastest, in most circumstances, but some people might want to play on Simulation or even Console as well.
I agree with Ewil. We could add it as an extra variable, so people who want to keep running with pick-ups on can do so, and have it be shown. Just like you could play on the N64 version, if you wanted to.
I agree with FurryWulfz and Habreno. But it seems like the topic of this thread was changed. It used to be about content moderators. So here's a question regarding the original topic: do content moderators get to deal with leaderboard requests? I assume so, right? That should make the waiting time a lot less long. :)
I'd advise to only run a game you enjoy. I don't think it should matter whether the game has already got documentation on it, or a leaderboard.
Because OBS requires setting up when recording for a new purpose or from a new source. :P I guess you're right... but I like efficiency, from time to time. (I don't care about the format)
Hey, is it possible to record BizHawk with Fraps? I put the display mode to OpenGL, but it still didn't get picked up, it seemed. I ended up using the BizHawk function to record avi for this project, but it ended up looking blurry.
So should I just choose USA, then?... You're a Moderator, can't you add PAL?
I got one! Thanks to CM30 from WarioForums. https://www.zophar.net/savestates/gameboy/super-mario-land-3-wario-land.html
Is that for these leaderboards? That's the background for Super Mario World 2, not Super Mario Advance 3. Moreover, the category Warpless doesn't exist here. (there's 'Any% Warpless' for full-game, though)
I think you shouldn't request a leaderboard just to copy scores over from another place. You should make a leaderboard if you want to actually run a game. And I, personally, only request a leaderboard once I've got a decent run.
I was submitting a run, and couldn't select PAL... what's that about?
I already was experienced with speedrunning because of SGDQ and AGDQ. I expected me not to enjoy it, however. At some point I started watching SimonN on Twitch, and that got me liking speedrunning a lot more. But I still thought it wasn't my thing. Then at some point I was playing Dizzy Prince of the Yolkfolk again. And I felt like I wanted to do a speedrun of that game. I did, and that's what got me into speedrunning. :)
Hello! To record gameplay footage for future piano covers, I'd like a completed save file for this game. I've got one myself on my cartridge, but I can only record my emulator. :) Does anyone have one?
I've only run games that hadn't been routed yet, so far. That made it more interesting to see what could be achieved, to me.
Is there time to drink during such long runs without wasting time, or do you spare a few seconds? I guess it might differ per game, but I'd like to hear. :)
Hm, interesting. I'm not too experienced, but for the first game I submitted, I went with one game for all platforms, and created different categories for the different consoles. I kept ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and C64 as one category, though, and Android and iOS too, as I think/hope they probably don't differ.
@Zachoholic's post: I like how the actual TheGamerLand was at the end, as while reading about the other accounts associated with them I thought it was a website, not an account. :P
Hey, it got changed! I can't tell to what, though. :P
