Whenever I try to patch the practice rom using Lunar IPS, It says it is patched but there is an error. When I load up that file on FCEUX, It won't load. Is it supposed to stay as an IPS file or should it change?

it should be a .nes rom, are you patching the practice rom onto a normal SMB rom?
