Yet another optimal BBG framerule that is also consistent (and easier)

So, I was just thinking, since I could find a setup for the one with 3 hard tricks, why not look into one with 2 hard tricks? (since I'm doing runs with 2 hard tricks this would actually be quite useful for me) If your name is gunlap28, GTAce99, AldynSpeedruns, or Tecate (aka everyone going for a 456), and you are sick of waiting 7.82 seconds on the title screen, this post is for you. You just have to start with -3.27 as well, and 2 hard tricks (sorry Tecate, I don't know what to call it)

1-1 FPG and 4-1 FPG 1-1 FPG and 420 blazit 4-1 FPG and 420 blazit etc. You need to have 2 of those hard time saves and be on 456 pace entering 8-2, and the next thing you need to do, is bop the first lakitu, and that's it. Don't bop anything else, just the 1 lakitu. Example video: It is a very consistent BBG setup

Edit: In case you are skeptical, here is an RTA run of it happening (note I die to low podoboo, it's not a lodoboo, I believe it is a frame perfect jump to get past it or something, because I have been able to get past it in practice.) There are a few low podoboos in a row if you go too slow like I did (probably slower than 8-0, like 8-K, 8-J, 8-I)

Nice find.

Two things

  1. it’s a pretty precise jump to kill Lakitu. I think the double koopa bop is easier

  2. is there a backup optimal setup for -3.62 in case you get one of bad judges/slow 1-1/slow blazit etc. Because with the double bop frame rule there’s a backup frame rule then you can go for 8-3 FPG if your heart desires.

Would a light L tap affect anything? Cuz a light L tap make slakitu kill easier

@Tecate 1. Thanks, yes it is a pretty precise 2 jumps you have to do, but then again, isn't FPG precise? Keepo 2. Yes, there is, however it is precise and therefore inconsistent. You have to be a specific speed in order to get optimal shot, any slower or faster and you get unoptimal shot. If you go too fast you get no shot, if you go extremely fast you get unoptimal again OpieOP

@Cubored Yes, it strangely makes you just barely miss optimal shot and it shoots the opposite direction, so you can't press left DansGame
