I've shifted my focus from grinding Fast 4-2 (2-bump) to actually helping the community lol
I've TASed quite a few games before, and I love SMB, so why not make a TAS of Lightning 4-2? Well, I tried it about a month ago and couldn't exactly replicate Kingof_Johnnyboy's version (because of the stopping on the pipe)
I've TASed all the way up until the pipe, though, and the framerules are different up to the pipe but you still get a 4-E pipe entry. I can't stop on the pipe, though. Does anyone have any ideas?
If you want the TAS, just ask and I'll link it. It's for Pellson's practice rom v5. It has all of the inputs until the pipe, and it has the right timing on the down input.
Note: It may be possible to stop and get a 5-F or 6-G pipe entry, but as far as I know, 7-H isn't possible.

Oh, and one other thing: I have gotten a 6-G entry with left+right, but that isn't RTA viable (or possible) for obvious reasons.

I struggled to replicate just the bumps alone and be fast enough, idk how to go quicco with 2 bump TAS 4-2 method
So basically, there are 2 methods to get TAS 4-2 framerule
There's KingOf_JonnyBoy method, where you do 2 bumps, you have to do the fast accel at the beginning, you have to get perfect bumps (not just in terms of pixels but also speed), perfect pipe entry (not just first pixel but as fast as possible), and then double fast accel, followed by perfect warpzone. That's the current method. If you could figure out some way to go a few frames faster to take out these crazy fast accels, this method would be much more viable.

Then there's the clip method, which HappyLee first showed. I don't think it's much harder than KingOf_JonnyBoy's method, as you have to do multiple frame perfect right presses, right releases, left presses, left releases, and sometimes alternating between right and left and left and right in the span of 1 frame. But you don't have to do any fast accels, and you don't have to do a crazy pipe entry, and you might not even have to do a perfect warpzone

Neither method is very viable right now, and KingOf_JonnyBoy method I don't think has very much room for improvement, but who knows? I would think that the HappyLee method does have room for improvement, as you don't have to do anything ridiculous and you can still save the framerule (other than the ridiculous clip inputs). If someone could find a way to make the clip easier but still fast enough (you know, get rid of all those frame perfect wigglewabblewobblebiggleholybuhjesusinmahujihu's), 4-2 TAS framerule would be much more viable and something people may consider in the future.

I wonder if you can do a fast excel right after backjumping on the question mark blocks.

Also, now like 8 people have done it.

My only wondering is if it is possible to do a forwards jump to the wall jump.
