Is Geosquare's Random Seed Glitchless Co-op Spawn Finder allowed for duo speed run in 1.14.4? Or any manipulated way to spawn in savanna/desert? If so, is there a specific way to verify that?

Illinois, USA

how do you set up co-op runs for old minecraft versions (1.7.2 glitchless 3 person any% random seed)? How do I find the version of the server I want, and how do I keep making new worlds until I find the seed i want for a server?

Can I just run a lan server without cheats enabled but have the world with cheats so I can do /time set 0 to start but others don't have access to the commands?

Basically what im asking is how do you do Co-OP random seed

@HongXong no and it doesn't work for 1.14.4

@googoopuffman No, you need to have cheats disabled on the world itself when you make the world, but when you open to lan turn on cheats for /time set 0. If you want to use an actual server you can go into the launcher and download a server for it through there.

Please someone help me with my binded keys for TimeSplit, I am starting to use it and I don't know what keys to use for start, next split, end, etc. Would there be anway to make it automatic so it reads when I start moving or whatever? If not just tell me some binds for start, next split, end, thx. :)

Would it be legal to use a datapack for an in-game timer? 1.16 allows for installing a datapack when creating the world, and I think it'd be a very easy cross-platform solution.

I am attempting to do a glitched 1.13 All Advancements speedrun, but am running into some issues when it comes to item duplication. For whatever reason, the only way I can successfully get items to duplicate is by waiting around 38 seconds after I pick them up (single player using the alt+f4 method). I can't find any sort of resources on this issues and it would seem that, in 1.12, this duping method worked instantly. I know it didn't get patched or anything because I have gotten it to work after waiting for a while, but it seems like my acquisition of the items doesn't register immediately, as closing and reloading instantly just leaves them lying on the ground in front of me. I would greatly appreciate any help that can be given on the subject!

First, my question!:

When does the 'End Poem' trigger officially start? Is it the first black frame after the Ender Dragon death throes, or is it the first frame of dirt being faded in? I ask because there is a .27 second difference between the two. I need to know when to stop the timer officially.

And to give back, I have some complete answers asked by both @börekObama and @Reimii:

Q. How do people trade instantly?

A. Great question, I puzzled over this having watched the same videos and figured it out on Java Edition. Basically I click the trade for sticks for emeralds, hold the shift key down, keep the cursor over the emerald and spam click the spacebar. Gimme all yer Emeraldz!

And a question asked by @WhiteLightning8117:

Q. How do you record/stream runs, my computer can't handle OBS?

A. I think it was @SpeedNintendo that recommended both using the default resolution (which I set to 1280x720, the minimum HD resolution YouTube uses) and setting the framerate to 30 fps). My machine is a handcrafted budget gaming machine which I spent under $400 on. As you might imagine, it is a minimal machine. In its current state, it can record high quality 1280x720 px (720p) at 30 fps (while playing at 60 fps). But I am using Debian Linux for my OS (i3wm as desktop) and playing Minecraft Java Edition. I too tried OBS but could not get consistent quality.

I shelved OBS and learned a lot about the process. Now I use ffmpeg to record the video, and jack_capture to separately record both the application audio and microphone streams.

Suffice it to say that a poor choice in hard drive (used 10 year old drive with slow write speed) is my limiting factor. To get great video quality and least impact on the CPU while playing and recording I am forced to generate large files which is why I use the hard drive and not my 128GB SSD (which I use for the OS exclusively). Once the bitrate of the video exceeds the write speed of the hard drive, quality of the video drops. This generates about a 56GB file for 1.5 hours (just recorded a successful run today which I am still processing).

I have a new hard drive on the way which theoretically should allow me to record and play at 1080p @ 60 fps. (spending USD $25 out of pocket with an additional USD $25 Amazon gift card).

Sorry for the long post. It is my initial post in these forums. Best of luck!

@Cpt_Obvious do not believe me a lot, but i think is it the first black frame after the Ender Dragon death throes

United Kingdom

I've written a program that does a bit of math and lets you find the stronghold (roughly) with just 2 eye throws. Can anyone verify whether this would this be allowed for runs or not (specifically 1.9+ RSG)?

Tecnicaly you cant do that, you prepárate all the seed knowing before start what to do in that seed More like no A bit unfair also is lol

How do I get the In game time on my runs?

Basque Country

@Zq0ut while playing, just the real time, then just remove the transitions and charging screens to take the in game time at least should be easy for glitchless lol, in glitches on is harder, so you should need some way to manualy stop the timer and activate it again in mid run lmao; i like to use the lateral buttons of my mouse, is the easiest way at least for me if you have any latereal button in your mouse that you can presionate easily in any momento with your thumb in glitchless, basicaly remove the time of the chargins screen of the portals

In the middle of a run I had to pause the game for about 20 seconds due to real-life reasons, and I'm not sure how to account for this paused time for the in-game time. Should I or should I not include this time in the in-game time if I submit the run?

If the game was paused, no this does not count as IGT. It does in fact count as real time. So make sure to account for that.

Just don’t pause the game if you want to have a better time.

In Co-Op runs, the rules says that

"One runner must be server admin (op) and is the one who must provide video proof."

Does this mean that ONLY one runner can be admin, or that that both can be admins, as long as the one recording is?

only one can be admin ig yeah just to be safe
