Question about frames

Would the WR be faster or slower if framerules weren't 21 frames but 1 frame ( like most games nowadays). It probably would be faster but by how much?

Louisiana, USA

This doesn’t matter. It will never matter.

@loafofbred98 calm down he was just asking a question. @SG4 it would be faster by around 1.5 second

SG4, TheSecondTry and 5 others like this

@WolfAttacK 8-1, 8-2 and technically 8-4 have 0 frames to spare, 1-1 and 1-2 have only a few frames to spare, 4-1, 4-2, and 8-3 can have some frames to spare, so I think it would sum up to about half a second.

Québec

Yeah you're right, I thought 1-1, 4-1 and 4-2 were way more lenient

Thanks for the responses guys. SMB is really interesting and the way it works. So I gather that a 4:54 would be inevitable without 21 frame framerules maybe even a low 4:54 or a high 4:53.

Québec

On the RTA side, we would already have a 4:54. On the TAS side, mid 4:53 would be the final time

A TAS would save: 20 frames in 1-1 15 frames in 1-2 not sure how many frames in 4-1 20 frames in 4-2 4 frames in 8-1 7 frames in 8-2 not sure how many frames in 8-3 So that's at least 66 frames saved, plus some extra time in 4-1 and 8-3, meaning that without framerules, the TAS can go down to around 4:52.6xx.
