Hello.
I have a 5:14 run on my YouTube channel and I played it on 0.25 speed doing quick play-pauses and I found that TIME 400 appears on screen when my LiveSplit is on -0.17 and all sprites after touching the final Axe disappear at 5:14.08.
Can I submit the run as a 5:13.91? Will I get in trouble for claiming an inaccurate time?
Honestly I rather grind until my LiveSplit says 5:13 or less rather than submitting a run that is just a few milliseconds off but I'm curious about the possibility of being higher on leaderboard if validated.
I forgot to mention that this run has never been submitted before, I have two runs as 5:14, the first one is already submitted (not moderated yet) and this new one is the one I believe is 5:13 but I haven't submitted because I'm a little bit afraid of get in trouble for claiming a different time.
Just edit the submission by giving the link to the new video and update the time.
you can just call it a retime. it is allowed as long as it's accurate. a 5:14/5:13 probably wouldn't matter too much since retimes are only really done for sub 5:05.
by the way, you can frame by frame advance in youtube with (,) and (.) .
Thanks for your replies, I agree that maybe a few frames are not that important and thanks for the (,) and (.) tip, I didn't know that.
Mods never take the claimed time as the actual time. Every single run gets retimed whether it's a 4:57 or a 6:20 - a time off by 0.17 on start or axe is definitely within the range of normal for error.
Just do your best to put your estimate of what you think the run is (as you have done) and the mods will take care of the rest. No worries :)
After watching the run i can confirm is a 5:13. I can't really tell the exact time since i couldn't find the bowser pattern but with frame counting it gives a time of 5:13.8. Frame counting doesn't give you exact time but its 5:13 nonetheless. GG
also theres nothing bad of being wrong with the time you submit. Mods would put the real time and no problem
Effective immediately, any submissions using the SNES9x emulator will not be verified. The SMB1 mod team has concerns about its integrity due to its ability to overclock and remove lag frames, which may not be easily detectable. Additionally, we request that all BizHawk submissions avoid using the S
