FPG is kinda hard, but 1-2 FPG seems even harder due to different inputs But is it really that hard if ya boi gunlap28 can do it 1st try hardly ever practicing it? I've also myself done this many times, and this should be a viable strat to add into Warpless runs today for those willing. (i'm not telling the top players to add it, please don't, so I can and get WR Keepo )
Note: 4-2 FPG is the exact same inputs as 1-2 FPG
Different inputs? I don't see different inputs between 1-1 FPG and 1-2 FPG. Correct me if I'm wrong.
There is a setup for 1-2 FPG that I found a couple of month ago: https://www.speedrun.com/smb1/thread/tfeq1
The inputs are only slightly different compared to 1-1 FPG: You have to land on the 2nd pixel of the step (instead of the 1st). Then you do C40 inputs (instead of D70).
The last sentence means that you do the inputs that would give you C40 in 1-1 (when landing on the 1st pixel). They actually give you D70 in 1-2.
The inputs at the flagpole are the same.
TAS saves 2 framerules in 1-2 and 4-2, by the way. Not just FPG, but a lot more unRTAble things.
C40 is when you go for D70, but press B a frame late. You can find the inputs for 1-2 FPG in the original thread (see link in my previous post).
Any% (NTSC) runs below 4:57.000 must now fulfill additional requirements in order to be verified.
- The run's full session must be included in the submission description.
- For emulator runs below 4:57.000, some form of input display must be visible for the duration of the run. A hand-cam or input
