Chopper Skip patched? Current WRs might be unbeatable

Some of you might remember this video

Shows off an amazingly useful trick that skips landing with the chopper for a lot of missions. Saves a big amount of time over the course of the run and makes it a lot less tedious. However after trying it myself for a while, I can't get it. Might just be me being bad, so I asked someone else to attempt it. He couldn't get it either. So either we're both bad or it's patched.

Could other people please try it out aswell on the latest version? If others can't get it either we we should look into what to do with the leaderboards. As far as I'm aware there's no legal way to acquire an older version of the game, unless you play on console from disc but then you have longer loads aswell. I think the best option would be to seperate between newest version and older version runs in that case.

i dont think a single IL run uses this trick, since it puts you at the chopper landing point without d-walker... so you generally lose time for IL runs compared to just walking to the mission starting point.

but for full game runs, yeah you right, if this was patched then we should devide the the runs into current patch / old patch

Eeeh it was patched? Kojima-sama noti... ced... me... But he doesn't work there anymore, nooo! I wonder if the lastest patch brought new glitches. I will have to play this game again one day or another...

I'm new to the TPP Scene, I tested out the whole Chopper skip on the most recent patch and I'm almost certain that Chopper skip was patched. I gave it about fifteen to twenty tries and could not get it to work. If this is the case then like Dekuking said the categories need to be split into current patch and old patch runs.

You need more than 1 run to split runs into separate categories....

We should probably use it as a variable rather than splitting categories. So all current runs will be labeled with "Old Patch" and every new run will get "1.12" (if I'm not mistaken). Then if a new patch arrives those will need to be changed. Thankfully that won't be a lot of work with the current amount of runs :p Reason for saying the patch number instead of "Current Patch" is so it's clear when it's outdated
