We decided to accept runs as long as structures are not fully visible during the run, since the terrain generation is not affected where a structure would not spawn anyways.

So two questions.

First pertains to this, an answer to a previous question.

You are allowed to modify it but don't make it super bright, at least make it so you its obvious which places are suppose to be dark

1) That is not a particularly good answer. I mean, I can just turn up the gamma on the computer and see in the dark perfectly. My default computer settings don't make it too difficult to see in the dark with the brightness set to the default max bright. Some monitors are just brighter. Can you fault a run because they run the game with higher gamma to make it faster? ie: The spirit of speedrunning is speed. And more importantly it is impossible to track so the only judgement call is 'Does this guy 'look' like his gamma is too high mining in the dark? Is he placing those torches because he knows something is there and needs to look like he doesn't?'

2) What of specific mod running? Someone might say, fancy a speedrun of how fast can they produce a town with every building in Millenaire. Or killing a copy of every mob in Grimoire of Gaia. Are mods really so unpopular as to not have anyone that wants to speedrun one?

Make sure you are on version 1.6.4 and have the latest version of java maybe?

Is it okay if I start the game and wait for several minutes?(So it will be night when %time is smaller and mobs appear)(I didn't see anyone does this)

Any_Random_Seed_Glitchless_Co-op Rule:
Can be played on any difficulty that is not peaceful. Glitches (e.g. duping items) are banned. The run must be completed single-segment. Commands cannot be executed during the run. This category is ranked by Time Attack timing.

ADDITIONAL CO-OP RULES:
-One runner must be server admin (op) and is the one who must provide video proof.
-Chat may not be hidden.
-Timing starts with the admin using the command "/time set 0" after entering their server, but they may NOT move before starting the timing.
-All the other runners are to join the server AFTER timing begins.
-Timing stops once the first player enters the End Exit Portal.

When submitting, always list the server admin first and if it has more than 16 runners, list first 15 and on the 16th space enter "+others".

I am intending to speedrun a custom map. Is it ok to use 1.7, which does not affect the map even though the map was made for 1.4 (the map did not specify a version to use)?

Also, does using ender pearls to pass through blocks count as a glitch?

I apologize for late response. For the custom map, they are traditionally run in the version they were released for, although if the map or official statements do not specify and the map has no redstone, and no version specific glitches introduced before or after the version the map was made for, then it's ok. So, as long as you don't want to use glitches not present in 1.4 and there isn't redstone that breaks with changing versions, then it should be ok.

Using enderpearls like that does count as a glitch because any way of clipping inside/through a block are a glitch. Also, for custom maps (and the top of the nether or bottom of the void in vanilla) getting out of bounds is a glitch.

For random seed, can I explore the map(maybe in creative) and recreate a map to run?
For co-op, if in hardcore and the admin die, just leave the video "man you died"?

That would count as a set seed.

Is Save/Load(remove bad result) allowed?

I don't think save and load is allowed (in glitchless that's the only category I run)
For Optifine, I guess it's allowed, as long as you don't use the zoom I suppose.
