It's impossible for someone to get 8-B first room, and if someone some how pulls it off in practice or something. There's no way you could pull it off in a real run, and it's very unlikely someone would also get Frame 63 turn around room in a real run and stuff like that. Basically it's never happening in full run ever, cause all of the crazy Fast accels and frame perfect inputs that are needed to get the "Best 8-4 possible without L + R" so yeah.
The best that humans can do right now is to tie the human sum of best, which is still unbelievably difficult seeing as 4-1 (I believe) has a TAS only fast accel that a human did to be the first to save the framerule. So even with theoretically perfect gameplay, you still would be a framerule or 2 behind even the no R+L TAS.
The Sum of the Best is only 3 frames away from literal perfection. We only need someone to pull-off the most insane 8-4 ever
i doubt that this will happen anytime soon. imagine 4:54 grind x lightning 4-2 grind x 8-4 il grind. not only the skill but also the probability of this is almost impossible.
I could see someone maybe pulling off a crazy 8-4 IL but I don't think anybody's going to get 8-B first room in a run. Especially after all the crazy things that go into a run nowadays.
I don't think that it'll ever happen but honestly I've learned to expect the unexpected when it comes to super mario bros speedrunning
i think niftskis world record will be the last mabye a frame faster run but niftski will have WR for along time
Miniland, LeKukie and Tree_05 will most likely get 4:54, but I doubt they will BEAT Niftski. A tie is possible, but 8-4 at top level is hard. I doubt they'll go for 2 FA
I'm pretty sure that Niftski's 4:54 will be beaten soon. A few players are trying to get 4:54.8xx I'm pretty sure.
Effective immediately, any submissions using the SNES9x emulator will not be verified. The SMB1 mod team has concerns about its integrity due to its ability to overclock and remove lag frames, which may not be easily detectable. Additionally, we request that all BizHawk submissions avoid using the S
