So, it came to my attention that there are many different ways to do the pipe clip. There are two main ones, 1-20 blazit, and the pipe clip. Goofy found another method of clipping a while ago, and there are also many ways of getting good subpixels for the pipe clip.
This is 1-20 blazit, which if done quickly loses a framerule over doing the bottom pipe clip fast.
This is Goofy's method, which yields a 345. Saved about a second over the big mario clip, and maybe 5 or 6 framerules slower than optimal bottom pipe clip.
This is the main method, with if done optimally can save a framerule over my method and 1-20 blazit.
This is my method which is used to get good subpixels for the bottom pipe clip. Ties 1-20 blazit. Could make getting the clip slightly easier for some people.
This is the "slow" bottom pipe clip method which can be used to get good subpixels. Should save 1-2 framerules over Goofy's setup. Loses 4-5 framerules over "main" method?
So you have a "slow" bottom pipe clip method when you have a much faster way that is your way and is just as hard to do, I find that interesting
Really useful post for 1-2g
I really appreciate you putting these videos together in one post @KingOf_JonnyBoy , I’m new to the running SMB and appreciate knowing the history of these routes.
