Guide - How to emulate the N64 version on PC

**Step 1:** Download **simple64**, the emulator with the best accuracy and support for Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine.

**NOTE:** This emulator requires a GPU with Vulkan 1.1 support to run (this means at least an Nvidia GTX 750 or better).

**2023 UPDATE:** Over time, **simple64** has evolved into one of the most accurate N64 emulators out there. These improvements come at a price - increase to hardware requirements for emulation, especially on the CPU side. If your PC struggles to run the emulator at 100% speed when playing Indiana Jones, I can recommend this older build from when the emulator was still called "m64p": https://github.com/thekovic/simple64/releases/tag/v2021.11.4

**Step 2:** Extract the zip you downloaded and open the emulator with *simple64-gui.exe*. You will be greeted with a blank window.

The default settings of the emulator should work ideally for Indy but you can double-check them if you want. I will explain the important settings below.

**Step 3:** Click on **Settings->Core and Video Settings** and you will see this window:

The following options in the **Core** tab are of interest to us:

- **R4300Emulator** option means whether the emulator core uses an Interpreter (=1) or a Dynamic Recompiler (=2). You should use 2 if possible but if the emulator starts crashing very often, then switching to 1 should fix the issue.
- **DisableExtraMem** controls whether the emulator simulates the usage of the N64's Expansion Pak (4 MB of extra RAM). For full game Any% runs, this option should be checked (aka the memory disabled) because playing the game without the Expansion Pak skips the level *King Sol's Mines* automatically (it's only available to players with the Expansion Pak). The disadvantage of playing without the Expansion Pak is longer black screens between levels, slightly lower framerate, and some visual artifacts so it's recommended you play with the Expansion Pak when running full game Glitchless or Individual Levels. It is required to play with the Expansion Pak when running full game All Treasures because you need to collect the treasures in *King Sol's Mines*.
- **CountPerOps** is the number of cycles per instruction. It should be set to 0 but if the game freezes for you during a shop screen, then you might have to set it to 1. This should fix the softlock but will make the audio pop a lot.

The following options in the **ParaLLEl Video** tab are of interest to us:

- **Fullscreen** makes the emulator automatically go into fullscreen when you launch a game. You can toggle fullscreen manually using the shortcut Alt+Enter.
- **Upscaling** increases the resolution higher than native N64 resolution. 1 means no upscaling, 2 means double the resolution, etc. It goes up to 8 but the higher the value, the more heavy the emulator will be on your PC. Unless you have a very, very powerful PC, it is not recommended you go above 4 and, in fact, it is recommended you don't use this at all and stick to 1.
- **DeinterlaceMode** controls how the image is deinterlaced. If the setting is disabled, the *Bob* method is used. This gets rid of interlacing artifacts perfectly but makes some parts of the image twitch very, very slightly (most noticeable is text). If the setting is enabled, the *Weave* method is used which produces a completely stable and slightly sharper image but the interlacing artifacts are basically untouched (this means anything that moves will break up into lines). This setting is completely personal preference.
- **VIBilerp** controls the internal smoothing. Disabling this setting will make the image sharper but more pixelated. By default, this option is enabled which is closer to how the game looks on a real console.

**Step 4:** Click on **Settings->Controller Configuration** and you will see this window:

Here, you can setup your controls. The best way to play Indy on PC is using a real N64 controller with a PC adapter or an N64 controller USB replica. Other controllers like the Xbox controller, the PS4/5 controller or the GameCube controller also work. You can also play the game using a keyboard but the lack of smooth analog movement will make movement and some skips more tricky.

**NOTE:** You have to plug the controller into your PC first and then launch the emulator. If you do it the other way around, the emulator will have no idea about the controller's existence.

All your keybinds are stored in a profile so go to **Manage Profiles** and create one for either the keyboard or the gamepad.

Don't trust the default binds so bind a button for every N64 button manually yourself.

**NOTE:** When using a keyboard, some keys are reserved for emulator functions (notable examples are M, P or ESC) and thus cannot be used.

**Step 5:** Now you are ready to play! Click on **File->Open ROM** and select the ROM which you have surely legally obtained to launch the game.

- Open LiveSplit, right click it, and open the desired split file based on the category you wish to run.

- After you opened some splits, right click LiveSplit again, and click "Edit Splits".
- If you are using the prepared splits, the autosplitter should already be activated. In case it isn't, write "Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine" into the Game Name box and click the Activate button that appears. Exit the Splits Editor by clicking OK.

- Upon exiting the Splits Editor, right click LiveSplit again and ensure that the comparison is set to **Game Time**.

Locations of All Treasures - Level 01 - Canyonlands (N64)

This guide will show you all the treasure locations with a short written commentary on how to reach them. # Treasure 1 - Silver Coins

**Commentary:** Found near the start of the level. After you climb the ladder, pull a block out of the wall. After you pull it out, you climb on top of it and jump into the stonebrick niche where you will find **Silver Coins**.

# Treasure 2 - Blue Gem

**Commentary:** Located in a small room guarded by a snake in the ruins area after Indy uses his whip for the 1st time, you will find a **Blue Gem**.

# Treasure 3 - Gold Bar

**Commentary:** This one is super obvious, you can see it in the cutscene. To get it, climb out of the water immediately after you fall into it and climb a ladder. Behind you, you will find a corpse and a **Gold Bar**.

# Treasure 4 - Gold Coins

**Commentary:** After you fall down the waterfall, you can notice an underwater passage leading to a large cave. In the middle of this cave, there's a hole in the ground and at the bottom of it are **Gold Coins**.

# Treasure 5 - Silver Idol

**Commentary:** A series of ladders lead out of the cave described above. Climb them and you will get inside one of the ruined structures you found earlier in the level. Just before the hole that serves as exit out of this structure and leads back into the area with the snake, there's a **Silver Idol** to the left. This treasure appears only in the N64 version.

# Treasure 6 - Blue Gem

**Commentary:** After the cutscene where a helicopter arrives, you will find yourself in the digsite. Go left into a small corridor between the cliffs and you will find a corpse with a **Blue Gem**.

# Treasure 7 - Red Gem

**Commentary:** In the digsite, go forwards with the waterfall behind you. You will find a small room inside the cliff face to the left with a **Red Gem** sitting inside it.

# Treasure 8 - Gold Idol

**Commentary:** Going right from the digsite, there's a small jump you have to make. However, if you fall down into that gap, you will see a crawl space in front of you which leads into a small cave with a **Gold Idol** standing on top of an alter.

**Commentary:** This treasure can be seen from a mile away. There's a corpse near a tree at the bottom of the last canyon and it has **Gold Coins**.

**Commentary:** Just before the final jump of the level, there's a snake and a ladder nearby. Climb that ladder to find a small niche and a **Blue Gem** inside.

# Treasure 1 - Silver Coins

**Commentary:** After Indy comments on the digsite guarded by many soldiers, there's an optional area to the right you go into. When you stumble upon a pool of water, hang down to the left and shimmy to the right into a niche. From there, you can jump across the pool into a second niche with **Silver Coins** inside. This treasure appears only in the N64 version.

# Treasure 2 - Green Gem

**Commentary:** The next treasure is located all the way behind the Russian checkpoint. After you defeat the Russian soldiers, there's a box you have climb on and from there climb up a hole leading into the Babylonian ruins. Rather then immediately exiting the room you will find yourself in to go to the balcony where the Russian soldier with a rifle sniped you from, look around that room. You will find a small niche with a **Green Gem** inside.

# Treasure 3 - Silver Bar

**Commentary:** This treasure is in the underwater maze area. From the maze's entrance swim to the bottom right corner and you will find a **Silver Bar** inside a dead end corridor.

# Treasure 4 - Gold Coins

**Commentary:** This treasure is in the underwater maze area. From the maze's entrance swim to the top middle of the maze and you will find **Gold Coins** inside a dead end corridor.

# Treasure 5 - Gold Bar

**Commentary:** After you open the locked doors with the key Turner gave you, you will blow up some TNT and make a hole in the floor leading into a flooded area. At the bottom of the water, you will find a **Gold Bar**.

# Treasure 6 - Red Gem

**Commentary:** One of the three treasures inside the library. It is a **Red Gem** located inside a hole reachable from a small platform next to the bridge. You can jump to this platform early from the platform next the pushable block. Doing this skips the cutscene where debris falls down on the floor.

# Treasure 7 - Silver Idol

**Commentary:** One of the three treasures inside the library. It is a **Silver Idol** located inside the left burial hole on the floor with the pushable block.

**Commentary:** One of the three treasures inside the library. It is a **Red Gem** located inside the left burial hole on the first floor of the library.

# Treasure 9 and 10 - Blue Gem and Gold Idol

**Commentary:** These last two treasures are inside the room that opens after Indy finishes the tablet. They can literally be seen during the cutscene so this **Blue Gem** and **Gold Idol** aren't secret at all.

**Commentary:** Secret hunting 101: turn around after the start of the level. Climb up and you will find a corpse with **Gold Coins**.

**Commentary:** Also found near the start of the level, when you come across a small gorge, you will notice a plateau on the other side. Jump across the gap and you will find **Silver Coins** near a tree.

# Treasure 3 - Treasure Chest

**Commentary:** Found inside the Russian border base. When you climb into a vent instead of going right, turn left and drop into a small room where you will find a **Treasure Chest** on top of some crates. You can exit the room via the door, it opens from this side.

# Treasure 4 - Silver Idol

**Commentary:** Make sure you don't miss this one because you can't backtrack without glitches. On the first bit of river after you leave the Russian base with the raft, you can notice a waterfall by the left side. Sail into the waterfall and you will find a small cave with a corpse and a **Silver Idol**.

# Treasure 5 - Silver Coins

**Commentary:** After you pass underneath the rotating metal bridge, you will land with raft on a snowy shore. What follows is a small mountain pass which leads to a stone bridge and the candle altar. In this pass, there are some **Silver Coins** hidden behind a rock near a tree on the left side.

# Treasure 6 - Gold Coins

**Commentary:** Next four treasures are found in and around the piston area. This treasure is found near the stairs leading into the piston room itself. There's a small niche in one of the rock faces with an healing herb and some **Gold Coins** inside.

# Treasure 7 - Gold Idol

**Commentary:** Located on the top floor of the piston floor, you will see quite an obvious altar which holds a **Gold Idol**.

# Treasure 8 - Silver Bar

**Commentary:** A very sneaky treasure, this one is found above the stairs leading to the candle in the piston area. You may notice three pairs of small niches with lamps inside them. However, the center niche doesn't have any lamps inside but a **Silver Bar** instead. You are meant to use your whip to climb in there but on the N64, Indy can grab the ledge from a simple jump.

# Treasure 9 - Blue Gem

**Commentary:** This treasure is not only sneaky but also very hard to get to. Located in a small room behind the water wheel to the left of the water canal inside the piston room, it's is very hard to fight the current and steer the raft into it, especially on the less agile N64 raft. If you manage to do it, a **Blue Gem** will be your reward. A way how to get inside using glitches may be considered for the future.

**Commentary:** Don't forget this last treasure! You can find some **Gold Coins** on a stump behind the big tree with one of the four candles.

**Commentary:** You can drop down the ledge to the right of the climbable broken wall (or climb down there using that wall). There you will find a wooden niche with a **Gold Bar** inside.

# Treasure 2 - Blue Gem

**Commentary:** This treasure is found all the way down in the waterworks room where you reactivate the Sanctuary's clock. When you stand on the final moving platform from which you can jump towards the exit from the room, wait until the platform is all the way on the other side instead. From there, you can jump into a secret part of the scaffolding to the left and find a very hidden **Blue Gem** inside.

**Commentary:** This treasure can only be reached after you activate the clock. There's a closed door on the floor with the clock's face that leads to broken bridge. Hang down from the ledge and you will find a brick niche with a **Green Gem** inside.

**Commentary:** This one is very sneaky. After you raise the bell, go back to where it was and you will find a **Gold Bar** lying down on the floor.

# Treasure 5 - Red Gem

**Commentary:** After you activate the clock, you can pull a lever at the top of the clock tower which extends two bridges between the tower's platforms. Coming from the bell tower, the bridge to the right lets you access a niche with a **Red Gem** inside.

# Treasure 6 - Gold Coins

**Commentary:** After you enter the treasury, go down the hallway to the right and climb up the ladder above some beds. Press the button to lower the small drawbridge and circle around the room behind it. You will find some **Gold Coins** lying inside the bookshelf.

# Treasure 7 - Silver Idol

**Commentary:** Found at the right side of the room which opens after you rotate the statue twice. Beware, this **Silver Idol** is trapped, make sure to jump away after you pick it up.

# Treasure 8 - Gold Idol

**Commentary:** There's a whippable pole to the left of the elevator that goes up to the door locked with the monastery seal which leads to a small hallway with a **Gold Idol** inside. Beware, this one is also trapped with some barrels which will crush Indy if he approaches the treasure. To pick it up, you have to defuse the trap by whipping the idol with your whip. This is a completely unique mechanic seen only one other time in the game which makes this treasure very sneaky to pick up.

# Treasure 9 - Silver Bar

**Commentary:** In the rafters room, you are supposed to pull out a block to reach the balcony with the plant. However, you can push it in instead to reveal a niche with a **Silver Bar** inside.

# Treasure 10 - Gold Bar

**Commentary:** The final treasure is a very sneaky one and it's found on the N64 version only. Jump down into the water in the rafters room but don't let yourself be taken away by the current and through the water canals. Instead, climb out of the water on the platform inbetween those two canals and hang from the ledge ahead of you. You will see a hidden niche under you with a corpse and a **Gold Bar**.

Locations of All Treasures - Level 05 - Palawan Lagoon (N64)

# Treasure 1 - Silver Coins

**Commentary:** This first treasure is barely hidden. You can see it right from the entrance to the cave! The medkit might be hidden better. Anyway, look to the right side of the box with the machete in front of it and you will find some **Silver Coins**.

# Treasure 2 - Blue Gem

**Commentary:** There's a small cave to the right of the starting beach area. This is likely the first cave blocked by cobwebs you will find. Inside the cave, there's a cracked bit of wall to the right which you can blow open with the Urgon's Part. Behind it, you will find a **Blue Gem**.

# Treasure 3 - Silver Idol

**Commentary:** This treasure is located on the same plateau as the small cave with the shovel, ehm, I mean **Entrenching Tool** inside. You can notice a bit of grassless dirt near a rock (Indy will even commentate on it). Use the shovel on it to dig out a **Silver Idol**.

# Treasure 4 - Gold Idol

**Commentary:** This one is very sneaky. Deep in the water to the left of the starting beach area, hidden behind a large rock, there's an entrance to an underwater cave. Swim through this cave until you find a hole that leads out of water. You will find a niche with a corpse and a **Gold Idol** inside.

**Commentary:** On the large beach opposite the starting beach, there are **Gold Coins** hidden behind a large rock near a hostile lizard.

# Treasure 6 - Gold Bar

**Commentary:** When you encounter the derelict ship, swim towards the end which is lowered where you can climb on top of the ship. Now swim to the side of the ship which looks towards the open ocean. You will be able to notice a hole in the hull. Inside, tucked right in the corner, is a **Gold Bar**.

# Treasure 7 - Silver Coins

**Commentary:** After you blow a new hole into ship with a torpedo, you will find yourself having to swim through the maze of flooded cabins. From the starting area where you can find the hammer, swim into the doors diagonally opposite from the room with the hammer and then continue forwards. In the last cabin, you will find some **Silver Coins** once again hidden in the corner.

**Commentary:** Once you get access to the bridge (where you can find the crank), go around the corner into a cabin with a ladder. Go down and continue as far as you can. At the very end near some locked doors, you will find some **Gold Coins**.

**Commentary:** This treasure is found in the flooded temple. It's not very hidden but easy to miss. Swim to the left of the entrance and you will find a **Silver Bar** lying on the floor.

**Commentary:** The final treasure is in the last temple of the level. Right after you climb out of the water, you will find some **Gold Coins** lying between two broken pillars.

**Commentary:** The first treasure is found at the very start of the level. At the bottom of the left pool, there are lying some **Gold Coins**. Easy to miss and found on the N64 only.

**Commentary:** After you first open a wall using the Urgon's Part in this level, instead of going right down the slope, go left. Behind all the darkness, you will find a corpse and some **Silver Coins** lying by a window.

**Commentary:** After you survive the boulder, jump into the chute down which it came. At the end of it, you will find an altar with some **Gold Coins**.

**Commentary:** In the room after the boulder, there are some **Silver Coins** lying on an altar in front of you. Almost impossible to miss.

# Treasure 5 - Silver Coins

**Commentary:** This treasure is found in the "puzzle" room with the many ladders which you have to flood with lava. Jump down from next to the button onto a small platform. From there swing the whip to get to an another platform. Then you use the ladders to get into a small circular niche with some **Silver Coins** inside.

**Commentary:** After Sophia gets captured by the Russians, you will make your way into a large lobby room with a lavafall in the middle. On the right side, there's a large gong hanging. Crawl behind the gong and you will find a pushable block. Push it forwards and you will find a hidden room with some **Gold Coins** inside.

**Commentary:** One of the most complex treasures in the game, this one has an entire side area for itself. In the corridor leading into the area with the Russian cable car, there's a cracked wall. Blowing it up with Urgon's Part will lead you to a large room will falling floor. Make sure to quickly jump on the big pillar to the left. From there, you can jump to the platform with a **Silver Idol**. To get out, you have to press a button located at the base of the pillar which will extend platform leading to the exit (or you can make an unintended jump and jump directly to the exit from the top of the pillar).

The intended to avoid the boulder there is to use your whip from the pedestal upon which the Tiki Statue stood and climb up from the harm's way. If you climb to the top, you will find an alcove with a **Gold Idol** inside.

**Commentary:** The next three treasures are found at the start of the cave system (coming from the direction of the bridge which you can't cut down). **Commentary:** This is one is at the very end of the cave system. When you come across a slide-down slope, take it and jump at the very end of it to make it to a small platform with a **Silver Bar**. You can also reach this platform in an unintended way by jumping from the top of the boulder which is located at the bottom of the gap between the slope and the platform.

Very sneaky.

**Commentary:** This treasure is located inside the first pyramid (with the purple flame), one floor above the entrance. Go past the ladder into the next room (you can see outside through a crack in the ceiling in this room). There is a coffin here and inside that coffin is hidden a **Red Gem**. It can be very tricky to jump inside the coffin to collect the treasure and even trickier to jump out of it on the N64.

**Commentary:** Still inside the same pyramid as the previous treasure, this one can be found in the room after the falling blocks trap. There is a crawl hole hidden in the dark to your right. Crawl through into the next chamber and you will find a **Green Gem** lying on the floor.

**Commentary:** This treasure can be found in the pyramid with the green flame. Climb upwards from the room with many snakes until you come across a spider. The spider is guarding a **Green Gem**.

**Commentary:** Just a short distance from the previous treasure, you will come across a cracked wall. This one is unique because using Urgon's Part on it won't make a hole you can walk through. Instead, the rubble makes a hole in the roof of one of the structures in the previous room. So go back there and jump through the hole to find a coffin and a **Gold Idol** lying next to it.

**Commentary:** This treasure is in the pyramid with the yellow flame (located opposite the pyramid with the green flame). After you get past the Golden Eye, you will find a cracked wall. **Commentary:** This treasure is found in the second water cave system of this level which is usually accessed through a hole which the Russians create when shooting their bazookas around during a cutscene. Swim through the caves and keep your eye to the left side. Eventually, you will come across a niche with a **Red Gem**. The gem can be easy to miss, especially on the N64 as the underwater effects make the gem blend in with the rocks.

Locations of All Treasures - Level 14 - Nub's Tomb (N64)

This guide will show you all the treasure locations with a short written commentary on how to reach them. It will also show a difficulty rating which expresses how hard it is to find/reach the treasure without hints. Treasures are presented in the order in which it is believed you are likely to find them when playing the level the intended way.


# Treasure 1 - Gold Coins

**Commentary:** To get the first treasure, start in the room with many columns. Instead of turning right and going down the stairs, continue forwards. You will come across some small water pools. In the last pool, you will find some **Gold Coins** lying under the water.

# Treasure 2 - Silver Coins

**Commentary:** From the room with many columns, go down the stairs and then climb up the rubble and jump down past it. Watch out for the scorpions and turn around. You will find a crawl space at the bottom of the rubble. Crawl through until you can stand up. After you stand up, climb up the ledge to find a corpse with some **Silver Coins**.

# Treasure 3 - Gold Bar

**Commentary:** This treasure is found in the room with a pushable block hidden behind a carpet. There are grates on the floor of that room and some those grates collapse under you. Fall down, crawl through a small gap and continue forwards. You will find a pile of bones and a **Gold Bar**.

# Treasure 4 - Silver Bar

**Commentary:** After you enter the auditorium and push the button which pulls out the statue of Anubis, go through the entrance. Turn right and you will see a corpse with a **Silver Bar** surrounded by cobwebs. Watch out for the spiders!

# Treasure 5 - Blue Gem

**Commentary:** Going away from the auditorium, you can drop down back into the room where you started the level. Don't do that! Instead, go right into a corridor and whip across the chasm. There, you will see a button which lowers down a coffin, giving you access to the room with many columns. Opposite the coffin, there's a niche in the wall with a **Blue Gem** inside.

# Treasure 6 - Silver Idol

**Commentary:** This next treasure is all the way down in the tomb in the room with the elevator and two large robots. You will notice a lot of platforms in this room connected by bridges that you are supposed to shimmy across. Looking from the elevator, the platform that's furthest away from you on the left side has a niche with a **Silver Idol** inside. However, you don't have to shimmy at all to get there; turns out you can reach the platform just by doing a high jump from the floor and climb up.

# Treasure 7 - Gold Bar

**Commentary:** Looking from the elevator in the same room as the previous treasure, jump into the pool of water in front of you. You will swim into a large flooded room. To your right, there's some rubble. Swim behind it to find a **Gold Bar** lying on the floor. Very sneaky.

# Treasure 8 - Red Gem

**Commentary:** In the same flooded room as the previous treasure, after you climb out of the water, you will find a cracked wall. Blow it up with Urgon's Part to enter a hidden room where you will find a **Red Gem** lying on one of the shelfs.

# Treasure 9 - Gold Idol

**Commentary:** After you enter the room with the electric ball, turn left and go through the opening that's at a 90 degree angle in relation to the entrance. When inside, go left and you will find a cracked wall hidden in the darkness. Blow it up with Urgon's Part to find a niche with a **Gold Idol** inside.

# Treasure 10 - Silver Bar

**Commentary:** The final treasure can be found in the room you get to after you ride the elevator to the top of the tomb. After you exit the elevator, go around it and up some stairs. Climb up the little ledge and then use your whip to get on top of the elevator. There, you will find an altar with a **Silver Bar** lying on top of it.

# Treasure 1 and 2 - Green Gem and Red Gem

**Commentary:** The first two treasures are found near **Nub's Part**. Turn around after you collect it and you will find a **Green Gem** and a **Red Gem** in the walls.

# Treasure 3 - Gold Idol

**Commentary:** When you come across **Azerim's Part**, turn around and climb the ladder down. At the bottom, you will find a niche in the wall with a **Gold Idol**.

# Treasure 4 and 5 - Red Gem and Blue Gem

**Commentary:** The next two treasures are found near **Urgon's Part**. Turn around after you collect it and you will find a **Red Gem** and a **Blue Gem** in the walls.

# Treasure 6 - Blue Gem

**Commentary:** After you place Urgon's Part into the right altar and thus activate the elevators, take the first elevator up two floors. You will find another set of metal platforms sticking out of the central structure (much like those that you had to traverse a bit earlier in order to reach the altar where you found Urgon's Part and placed down Nub's Part). Jump on the first platform and you will see a grey ledge to your right. Jump on it and you will find a **Blue Gem** in a niche in the wall.

# Treasure 7 - Green Gem

**Commentary:** On the same ledge as the previous treasure, continue for a bit and you will find another niche, this time with a **Green Gem** inside.

# Treasure 8 and 9 - Green Gem and Red Gem

**Commentary:** The next two treasures can be found after you collect **Marduk's Head** and place Azerim's Part into the right altar. Go through the dark corridor that has opened up but instead of standing on the platform, stop in the middle of the corridor. There's a crawlspace to your right. Crawl through and you will find a room similar to the rooms where you found Urgon's and Nub's Parts. Turn around and once again you will find two gems in the walls, this time a **Green Gem** and a **Red Gem**.

# Treasure 10 - Silver Idol

**Commentary:** The final treasure can be found after you place Marduk's Head into his body. Go to the spot where the robot came from and you will find a niche in the wall with a **Silver Idol** inside.

# Treasure 1 - Aetherium Gem

**Commentary:** As soon as you start the level, descent all the way down to the floor. At the bottom of the central structure, you will find a crawlspace. Crawl inside to find an **Aetherium Gem** lying on the floor.

# Treasure 2 - Treasure Chest

**Commentary:** After you collect the **Tool From Beyond**, return back the way you came through the aether corridor with the green rims. When you exit the corridor, go counter-clockwise around the central structure and enter the aether corridor with purple rims. At the end of the corridor, you will find a closed dimension gate. Open it with the Tool From Beyond you have just collected and enter the slice of Meroe. Behind the truck, you will find a **Treasure Chest** lying on the floor.

# Treasure 3 - Silver Coins

**Commentary:** After you exit the corridor with the previous treasure, continue counter-clockwise around the central structure. You will come across an aether corridor with red rims. Swim through it and you will find another dimension gate. This one leads into a slice of Palawan Lagoon. Next to the totem statue, you will find some **Silver Coins** lying on the floor.

# Treasure 4 - Silver Idol

**Commentary:** If you've collected the previous two treasures, there's just one more corridor remaining. It's the corridor with blue rims which leads into a slice of Tian Shan RIver, specifically the place with the Altar of Four Winds. Go right from the altar towards the edge of the slice and you will find a little ridge with a corpse and a **Silver Idol** inside.

# Treasure 5 - Aetherium Gem

**Commentary:** You can find this treasure when you get back to the large chamber in the center of Aetherium (the one you fall through during the opening cutscene). Enter the first aether shaft (the one next to the door with a green rim) and swim upwards to the first opening you find and exit the shaft. Looking from the shaft into the chamber, go right and at the end of the corridor, you will find an **Aetherium Gem** lying on the floor.

# Treasure 6 - Aetherium Gem

**Commentary:** After you meet Marduk, go through the corridor on the left and swim down to the lower floor. After you exit the aether, go left. Inbetween the two slopes, you will find an **Aetherium Gem** lying on the floor.

# Treasure 7 - Aetherium Gem

**Commentary:** From the location of the previous treasure, continue through this lower floor underneath Marduk's arena. Walk past the dimension gate and continue all the way to the other end of this place. In the very corner, you will find another **Aetherium Gem**, once again lying between to slopes.

# Treasure 8 - Silver Bar

**Commentary:** From the location of the previous treasure, go back a bit and enter the dimension gate that you walked past. You will find yourself in a slice of Teotihuacan with the statue holding the **Silver Mirror** inside. From the gate, go left and you will find a **Silver Bar** lying on the floor next to the step.

# Treasure 9 - Treasure Chest

**Commentary:** Later in the level, after you return to the central chamber and find King Sol's three gems, use the green one to open the door with the green rim and enter the slice of Babylon behind the dimension gate inside. There will be a fallen stone block and behind it you will find a **Treasure Chest** lying on the floor.

# Treasure 10 - Gold Idol

**Commentary:** The final treasure can be found during the escape sequence. After the final jump, there will be a dark niche to the left. Climb past the block and you will find a **Gold Idol** hidden in the darkness.

# Treasure 1 - Gold Idol

**Commentary:** For the first treasure, take the raft down the river and land in the little bay on the left side with a waterfall nearby. Exit the raft and jump into the pool that the waterfall leads into to find an underwater passage. Climb the ladder and slide down the slope to make a jump across the water and land on a small plateau. There, you will find a niche overgrown with vines with a **Gold Idol** on an altar inside.

# Treasure 2 - Blue Gem

**Commentary:** After you exit the raft at the end of the river, jump into the lake and take the left underwater passage. Look for an opening where you can climb out of the water and jump across a gap. Don't climb the ladder, instead turn around and make another jump to a small rock ledge. Go up the ledge and land into a small hidden corner where you will find a stone face with a **Blue Gem** in its mouth.

# Treasure 3 - Silver Idol

**Commentary:** Jump into the lake the river flows into and take the underwater passage on the right. After you fall down the waterfall, stick to the right side. When you get into an area with four stone blocks that have fallen from the ceiling, look towards the right to find a small passage. Take it and climb out of the water as soon as you can. In this cave, you will come across a gap that you have to whip across and then you will find your way into a large room. Make sure you don't fall into the water just yet. Instead, look at the walls - you will see a small niche with a **Silver Idol** inside. You can't reach it just yet - instead, use your whip to make it fall down (this is the second and last time you use this mechanic in this game). Now you can jump into the water and collect the treasure.

# Treasure 4 - Gold Bar

**Commentary:** After you use a stone block like a bath plug to stop the water drain and make the water level rise, look for a small niche in the walls around you as you swim up. Inside, you will find a **Gold Bar** lying on the floor.

# Treasure 5 - Red Gem

**Commentary:** This treasure is found in the burial area with many scorpions that you unlock using the **Stone Key**. After you climb up the first whip pole, hang down from the ledge of the platform towards the center. Drop down and you will grab a ledge of a small niche that houses a stone face with a **Red Gem** in its mouth.

# Treasure 6 - Blue Gem

**Commentary:** After you use the **Bamboo Spike**, you will come across three trap doors. The first two trap doors lead to spikes, the last one leads to progress. Instead of taking that one, climb up the rocks at the end of the corridor. It's very dark in there so you may have to use your lighter so see the ledges. When you come across a window, that means there's one more floor to go. At the top, you will find a stone face with a **Blue Gem** in its mouth.

# Treasure 7 - Green Gem

**Commentary:** A little bit later in the level, you will come across a rock wall with many ladders carved into it. You're supposed to climb up to progress but instead climb down. Under the last bit of ladder, there's a ledge leading into a niche. Drop from the ladder to grab the ledge and shimmy right until you can climb into the niche. Inside, you will find a stone face with a **Green Gem** in its mouth.

# Treasure 8 - Silver Bar

**Commentary:** After you defuse the boulder trap, you will come across a large, curved room with a bottomless pit and some platforms. Before you jump on any of the platforms, hang from the edge and drop down. You will grab a ledge underneath that leads into a hidden corridor underneath the entrance with a ladder at the end of it. Climb that ladder to find an alter with a **Silver Bar** on it.

# Treasure 9 - Silver Bar

**Commentary:** After all the platforms in the room described in the above entry get blocked by the sliding walls, you will make your way back across the platforms only upward as well. On the third platform, you will find some vines to your right. Cut through them and jump across the small gap behind them to get to a hidden platform with a niche that has a **Silver Bar** inside.

# Treasure 10 - Peruvian Idol

**Commentary:** The final treasure of the game is a special one. Indy finally gets justice for the idol Belloq stole from him in Raiders of the Lost Ark as he finds another one just like it. After you pick it up in the cutscene, all that's left for you to do is avoid the falling floor and rolling boulder and finish the game. I hope you enjoyed!
