Mod Abuse and Censorship

Goes to show what type of person you truly are. Congratulations.

And seriously stop mocking and making a joke of the actual speedrunners and SRC. Perhaps then you wont get clown faces on your server since you will no longer be a joke of a moderator. Keep being a joker and get more clown faces that clearly hurt your feelings more than that of the runners you mock.

Luzbel still voices his opinions on the boards here despite running his own leaderboards because he still wants to improve FF7 speedruns. We still value his opinions and he specifically said he doesn't care whether it is added. If you were part of any of these conversations you would know but you are here to just brigade this thread and spew nonsense.

Where did you read I was ignoring actual speedrunners? Of the people named, one admitted to causing drama deliberately, we didn't hear Carnage's opinion (which doesn't mean we ignored him), Dave doesn't participate in any of this (doesn't even stream, he's moved on and is busy with life), Hypeghost was banned way before this (which everyone was even begging us to do and now you want to use him as an example?), we have seen Deano's forum post here, Kitkat re-joined the discord just to post a clown emoji.

The new IL boards were up for awhile before I even submitted anything. There's even an empty category anyone could have submitted for a "Free WR" but of course you don't care about the facts and instead want to jump to the conclusion I only wanted a "WR title" which means nothing to me without competition.

FF7 speedruns were already in a decline before any of this happened, stop trying to pretend adding insignificant IL boards like this has ruined it. We have actually seen new interest in submitting from people that don't run the game at all because it is easily accessible.

Kuma, no one was ever going to ban HypeGhost until I said something. You and all the mods were completely content and satisfied with (dare I say, milking and enjoying) the toxicity within the community. You claim to be against unconstructive and harassment, yet you allowed HypeGhost to remain in the discord despite being a repeat offender insulting runners. Even after you became a mod you allowed it, so don't try to act innocent here. And then you virtue signal by acting like you're against harassment when clearly you're not.

And when I tried to have a constructive discussion and honest conversation about the leaderboards, the community attacked me rather than my arguments. They cherrypicked the parts they didn't like because they knew they couldn't argue against the parts I was right about. You say we're the "usual troublemakers", but your definition of troublemakers is anyone who is against popular opinion, or should I say, anyone that goes against Zheal or Kuma. And apparently a clown emoji is so triggering when we should feel free to express. The problem is we're not free to speak our minds, because no one takes what anyone (other than you and Zheal and a circle of friends) seriously. Not Carnage, not Zergu, not Ptown. Not Mees, not Deano. When leadership doesn't respect or value respectable reasonable objections, that's when people start to get mad at them. You don't value each member of the community hence it is an unwelcoming, abusive, toxic community.

If you want to have open discussions, you're going to have differing opinions, viewpoints and perspectives. But you act like that's a bad thing and label us troublemakers becuase you don't like what we say and just want everything done YOUR way.

You claim that it's all about the competition but in reality you devalue competition.

Create a new leaderboard against the actual runners' opinion (taking the opinion of only non-runners aka group of friends), running the new category, getting first WR, verifying yourself, and claiming it's in the spirit of competition and for the community is the most backwards authority to competition I've ever heard. Zheal and Kuma's final say should not trump Reason or Logic but I guess this will just be deleted as harrassment and unconstructive because... it is detrimental to your case.

It also has nothing do to you you being on top Kuma. Here you are airing people's personal discords, and I could easily go pull up the discussion between the moderators last month on the FF7 discord of all of you saying self verifying was a very poor look for anyone. This is simply about doing your job, just do better

I also recognized a few days ago when applying for another server's moderation team that runs are required to be approved in 21 days or they should be reported to the SRC moderation team. I've never had a run approved in 21 days of the dozens I've submitted other than just a few. Going forward I'm going to hold the moderation team to that

It is in decline BECAUSE this is happening. It was in decline since its rebuilding of it because the new leadership has time and again refused to listen to anyone. You are not even listening now. If you took everything you said in this forum and repeated it at once, you'd read and pull:

  1. Despite reasonable protests, I ban people who I think are causing drama because I disagree with them.

  2. I listen to old school players who have all quit this community because of the lack of leadership and the lack of say in the community.

  3. There is clear evidence and indication that people are not receiving credit, acknowledgement, or feel they are not getting say in the community, but I would rather ban people and plug my ears in light of this.

  4. The community that continues to play are mad at the moderator team but I disagree I am doing anything wrong and thus we should ignore them.

  5. I think it is within the spirit of competition that I and the team can create any segment we want, call it a segment, complete the segment, and verify our own runs.

  6. I will continue to ignore anyone who speaks out against me and ban anyone I think is a troublemaker... and this will strengthen the community somehow.

... and you really can't figure out why there is an issue? Really? Are you that dense Mr. Moderator? I'm beginning to think maybe this free role was too much for you. Perhaps you should give it up before you kill the community in its entirety.

We tried as much as we can to avoid moderating people but people kept getting baited into confronting HypeGhost. We even timed him out a few times but people loved to respond to his antics even when we asked them to move on. We didn't ban him because you asked for it.

Just because a majority of people didn't agree with you doesn't mean you're a victim so stop trying to victimize yourself. No one was oppressed, we have never silenced people from simply voicing their opinions and sometimes they are against me or Zheal's. We have never made any large decisions without trying to hear from other people, stop trying to spin the narrative. You're now also pulling Mees's name up, who was gone for awhile for destroying the old discord? Zergu doesn't voice his opinions on these things, do you want us to strangle people for their opinions? We did not silence them. Who's name are you going to pull up next that doesn't participate in any of these conversations?

The "We didn't ban him because you asked for it" is blatantly hilarious

The moderators literally refused to ban HypeGhost while the community cried for it

This is also really old news, I'm not discussing this, but Kuma, just do better dude. You have not acquitted yourself well as an ff7 mod so far

I agree with Ptown. You are failing miserably at your job. People are quitting because of the lack of leadership. Like its that simple. You cant get people to voice their opinions because they quit? Ever think about asking WHY they quit? Seems like a simple question to ask but we all know the answer. Its just easier to ban people who are outraged by incompetence of the people representing them. Just do better. Dont ban people because clowns hurt your feelings. Dont delete posts because you think its absurd after doing something absurd. Dont create a "walking through the ice fields" segment because easy WR. Just do better.

Damage control, not the facts. Again you prove my point. The facts are you claim to be against toxicity but allowed HG's toxicity to run rampant. But if Kitkat calls you out, suddenly you take moderation very seriously and label me as a troll. You delete my posts and screenshot them, but not HG's. Again, you relished the drama.

Just because a majority of people didn't agree with you doesn't mean you're a victim so stop trying to victimize yourself.

When you have perfectly valid points and the community attacks you, that is toxicity. But the truth is a hard pill to swallow sometimes.

We have never made any large decisions without trying to hear from other people, stop trying to spin the narrative.

By other people, you mean your circle of friends. Certainly not Ptown or anyone else. You hear from people but you don't listen. Your mind is already made up but then you have a "discussion". And when Zheal wants to chime in, the vote suddenly goes his/your way and favor. Funny that.

Yeah, just be totally dismissive of my points and those people. That reflects really good on you, Kuma.

To be fair DJ, d1esel retired due to inactivity, not because of any issue that I know of. He hadn't verified a run in years

PTown, a cheater who was pretending he doesn't use turbo while taking bits, subs and donations (saying he deserved it) wants to talk about etiquette. How ironic

The community is so toxic that a runner streamed for 6 hours with a !toxic command preaching to be against bullying and being consumed by toxicity only to be....bullying and toxic for 6 hours straight. While making Kuma a victim of bullying, they bullied someone else. Hypocrites. And people like MC, DylWingo, CWiL, Chef and others were all in on it. Yes I did just do a name drop. And they want to say they are against harassment and bullying? Don't pretend to be innocent and virtue signal. Some were even advocating threats of violence and physical harm including Colin himself. Which is against Twich ToS, as well as SRC rules. Fair warning. But I doubt the mods and leadership will ban, kick and remove those people because impartiality doesn't exist. If you're going to have rules, then enforce them equally on all, including everyone I named. No double standard.

Kitkat; whether or not you believe all the things you are saying I hope one day you'll step away from your keyboard and realize none of this is worth it. You've always taken moderation too far. This is just the internet, with strangers on the other side of the monitor. Just step back and try to enjoy the things around you. This is the last thing I will say here.
