softlook%

Hi everyone,I'm a long-time player from Spain and I would like to propose a new category called Softlock%.I have discovered a unique and highly technical route to crash the game using a precise chain of glitches. It requires remapping the controls for maximum efficiency, great execution, and real-time management. The route works like this:Control Optimization: You need to change the controller layout settings first to achieve maximum input efficiency for the glitches.Character Unlock Glitch & Menu Management: You must perform the character unlock glitch efficiently. The runner needs to constantly check the menus and stop the glitch at the exact right moment once the specific characters required for the next step are secured.Time-Freeze Execution: You must perfectly execute the glitch that freezes the in-game timer.Precise Memory Overload: You must position yourself perfectly and spam an exact, massive amount of Ki Blasts while time is frozen. If your positioning is wrong or you don't throw enough projectiles, the game won't crash. Once time resumes, the precise overload causes the total softlock. These are the rules I propose:Time starts: On the first frame the developer logos (Dimps / Atari / Bandai) appear on screen.Time ends: On the exact frame the game completely softlocks and freezes.Hardware Note: I own the physical game, but my PC is too low-end to emulate it smoothly, and I currently can't find my original PS2 power supply. Because of this, I recorded this run on a PlayStation 3 (using HEN). However, the glitch is 100% replicable on PS2 and PCSX2. If required, I can go to a friend's house to record a video on a better PC or original hardware. Here is my video showing the run: me know what you think!

I think this is a really cool category proposal! However, I would definitely like to see opinions from people who know more about the hardware vs emulation details, because I know very little about all that.
