should change the thread title to "Leaderboard Moderation Requests (Last Resort)"
A time without a video is nothing. Get with the program
that link does not work racingmonster unless the current moderator has deleted the game page
EDIT: here's link http://www.speedrun.com/Meat_Boy_Flash
, was in link
Hey it wasn't my call, it was the series moderators, I'm just as pissed as you are
Full mods and admins can do something about that, but afaik there's a planned update eventually to allow game moderator board forums to have some kind of control mods can initiate.
But, since this is outside leaderboards, it's up to mods and admins, it's very unfortunate to see this kind of behavior occur on a speedrun website
I really hope you understand just how offense this joke of a thread can be
As a runner of XD / Colosseum, both games display in PAL60, so runs are equal to NTSC versions. However, you do lose a small bit of time in XD in PAL version due to an error in when Teddiursa evolves, so at least for XD you'd want NTSC. Colo though, I really don't think there are any version differences that come to mind.
Robot was on site an hour ago, he's streamed 2 days ago, last on twitter 5 days ago. However, when someone gets a leaderboard and doesn't do shit for the entirety of them having it, I think these time table "courtesy" should probably be ignored. That's just my opinion since there is no responsibility shown by Robot here for this game.
Also just a quick question, but what is the point of completely taking away series moderation power in individual games? Couldn't there be a better kind of checks and balance instead of blocking them out entirely?
For instance, if series mod power is not active in specific games, they should still have the ability to add and remove mods from that game (however, they should only be able to grant standard mod, not super mods).
That way, inactive mods who take away series power aren't leaving a board hung to dry, gives a bit more balance between series and game mods, and it encourages series mods to keep a watchful eye (and be active) on all games in the series instead of just being figure heads.
Just a recommendation, it just doesn't seem beneficial to completely lock out series mods and it takes away the non serious mod requests (cause in this scenario, the only reason to come to this thread is due to non series games, or there's a really bad series mod doing bad things).
@Token couldn't you just have modship taken away, that way you're still on here but with less responsibility?
I mean, it's not your fault people that know absolutely nothing about how to run a proper leaderboard are in these positions, could just dial it back a bit, take mod responsibility away, no reason to go away unless you really despise the community
Similar to this? http://www.speedrun.com/sf#Out_Of_This_Dimension
IF you click other categories, sub categories pop up
You just make the same variable for each category necessary, and just not put it on 100%. I do agree it'd be nice to have an inbetween between 1 and all
It'd save a lot more work if sub categories were added before other runs just sayin'
I agree, adding sub categories + runs don't take that much time but sub categories literally take 5 minutes.
Re-adding runs could take a while but if both current mods take each IL, it shouldn't take that long
How long would this meetup last
Reminder to not trust anyone who lies about where they live is what i should have stated trollbear666 Kappa
BUT to stay on topic, i think there needs to be another sub division of Admins / "Global moderaters" that handle these situations. I know this site is a hobby for most people but having very active and trustworthy people (like trollbear666, deln, token, etc. (you know, people who you see trying to help these situations before admins get to them)), would help alleviate the tension by going outside and getting both sides, then coming up with a fair decision. There's only so much responsibility site admins can take before this kind of stuff falls under the, quite honestly, time consuming and border line mundane category.
Not to say this thread is as much of an unimportance, but I'd imagine site admins are busy with the coding aspect that these things tend to distract and the non instantaneous responses (once again no one is at fault here) only elevate things to higher levels of shit talking / unnecessary comments before the admins get to see what's being discussed
This is just me but I wouldn't trust anyone from north korea
