Both 1st and 2nd place of the 300K Points category have incorrect "Level Start" variable inputs. Both of the runs started on the 15th level, not the 1st.
If possible, I would like to have the Jstris leaderboard (https://www.speedrun.com/jstris) added to the tetris series (https://www.speedrun.com/tetris). I'm not sure what does "evidence of approval from the game moderator" mean exactly but I hope that this screenshot of a twitter DM between us is good enough (sorry if not). https://imgur.com/QwitB0u
The creator of all the guides is GarlicBox. A member of the community who has been banned on speedrun.com and with time lost interest in speedrunning all together and deleted his src account, and youtube channel. Those videos don't exist anymore. I thought of removing the guides, but there's quite a bit of history in them, so I decided to leave them for now, and maybe create an actual guide myself in the future. For now, the best way to learn the game is watch speedruns by other players, and ask questions in the communitys discord. All of the best players are active on there.
About two months ago there was a complete overhaul of all the IL runs, and Mr Pitt took his time to reasign them to the new setup, but he did make some mistakes. DrFlamingo recently pointed out to me that one of my runs on the leaderboard was in the wrong category, I've reasigned the run accordingly but it's still possible that there are others like it. So if you notice any runs in the wrong places, post them here, or message about them any of the mods through speedrun.com or discord.
...Nevermind it's down again?
I guess playspal is just a very unstable developer, and it's services often aren't available but sometime are? I'm going to refrain from putting the mission categories up for now, but if anybody wants to run them, and is doing that in a time when they can, message me and I'll put those categories up.
Also, there are multiple points during the video, when the buttons are being pressed, while the cursor isn't on them. Yet for whatever reason Bruce still point it at the buttons. Almost as if he tried to pass it of as if he actually was pressing them with the mouse. You might be onto something here.
It seems that the playspal domain has expired, and so it is impossible to run the exclusive categories for that website. For that reason I have removed all of the mission ILs and the 100% Full-game categories. Also, I've added miliseconds to the ILs. And I am not going to retime all of the runs that are on the leaderboards right now, because I am planning to set new better times in the near future either way.
Will 100L and 1000L Big Block Sprint be added to the leaderboard?
After multiple attempts at completing a 100% run, I have realised that the "Hehe" achievement is not only pure RNG, but also takes up an enormous amount of time just... doing nothing and waiting for the mermaid to show up. Thusly I have found the experience of this run to be not very fun. But the entire point of an extraneous category is to have bonus options for having fun, right? So I decided to change the category rules to include JUST the 4 difficulties. If anyone has any reasonable objections to this change, I would love to hear'em.
Yes. 100 Levels. It would be a run identical to “All 10 levels”, but it had to be done 10 times. I know that it would naturally be very similar, but it tests consistency more, than the existing category. Also, It being much longer, it would have healthier competition. Do you think that it could be fun category worth implementing?
After a long session of testing, I did found a not-really-but-close-to-consistent hole 4 skip. Mind, I did it on the lowest quality which is why the images are so low-res. And some ways in which I determine specifically where to put, can only be seen on that quality.
- This is a zoom on the right-most edge of the hole. Put around the area of the black circle.
I determine it by putting the cursor on the sixth ridge from the right, which can only be seen on the lower quality. After a successful put, the ball should be somewhere here.
- Put in such a way, that this black rectangle (which is supposed to come down from the left edge of the arrow), Is very slightly to the left of the flagpole.
Unfortunately, both puts need to be very precise. While it's not perfect, it is the best setup I could have came up with. I can do it about 50% of the time (in a reasonable time period). Hope this will help somebody!
PS: Sorry for the weird image sizes. They're direct imgur links, and I don't exacly know how to fix them.
I agree. Since all the runs use IGT, which does show miliseconds, it would be pretty easy to edit existing runs to show ms as well. I know 125 runs is a lot, but if that's the only problem then I would be willing to volunteer in watching, and editing in the miliseconds. Currently there are 12 unnecessary ties on the sprint leaderboard!
I think that a cover would make this leaderboard look nicer. https://imgur.com/FYsSzf6
What do you think?
