Actually, we're all playing a joke on you as a initiation hazing ritual. We do it to everyone, no worries, but now that you've figured us out, you can go ahead and submit a run. A park sim with dinosaurs actually sounds kinda extremely awesome; I think I'm gonna add it to my list of stuff to try out. Thanks! ... and Welcome to the site!

What are the systems / platforms / consoles you and your friends have?

Holy crow, you beat me to it! I've been building mine as a chrome extension, but I've been struggling with the API callback because you can't opt out of the "previous" and "next" options if you just want them all in one lump.

I think my biggest concern / criticism is that the site seems somewhat out of date. Are you pulling from a database or using the API when a user visits a game page? At the very least, you should use the API to check if the information is in date when a user lands on a given page, or if you're using anything that works like Unix, I think it would be prudent to set up a cron to auto-update.

Second biggest concern is that you seem like you made an account here for the sole purpose of making that post, which is kinda sketch IMHO.

Third, as stated above, where do you get the "recommended streaming equipment" suggestions? They seem a bit random, though the links to Amazon are accurate, which is kinda weird considering how much of the actual SR information is out of date. The most straightforward way I can think of to get those links is the run a search on Amazon of what runners recommend here, then use regex to parse the html, but even that would result in plenty of errors. I mean, there's no time/cost efficient way (that I'm aware of, and it's one of my specialties) how you would be able to make those links as accurate as they are using just that info and the Amazon front end.

For instance, one of your links is to a "blue yeti microphone", but when you search that on Amazon, you get a different product and url for each different color of microphone. Furthermore, the "sponsored" item for that search is "Blue Microphones Blackout Yeti USB Microphone with Knox Studio Arm and Pop Filter", which is not likely what any of these runners are using.

So.

Either you are the best data miner the world has ever seen or you are actually working for Amazon and putting that as a priority over SR content, and that's not good for street cred, bro.

If they are Studio Ghibli, they don't count.

If they are by Satoshi Kon, I love you. ... oh wait, no, sorry about that, I don't know what came over me.

Black Mirror... hmm... how about:

What consoles do you have? That might help narrow down the range of suggestions.

Yeah, it's a tough lesson to learn. It happened to me after a ~50 minute run of Operation Neptune and I had to re-do it because you couldn't see parts of the game. It could be worse, though. At least it wasn't the "make sure OBS is ¤actually¤ recording before doing the run" lesson. That one really sucks.

Not with that attitude. ; )

I run. Forget sex, running is the best thing ever. You don't ever disappoint someone and you can do it whenever and for as long as you want.

Route 101 is generally a pretty good choice for beginners. From there, you can try Route 102 or Route 103.

Ones that kinda fit your description, don't have many players, and plenty of room for optimization:

== I'm in the process of trying to optimize this one to death, but I don't think I've quite got it yet. ¤HOWEVER¤ it is totally full of weird / hilarious / potentially useful? glitches. I think the devs just didn't care at all, heh.
