magnum would have been fine to grab on 2nd run if it was allowed. Handgun only is pistol only(none from the box). Technically a magnum is a handgun but not considered a handgun in a handgun only run. Unfortunately a typical handgun only run doesnt seem to be possible(on standard any way). Might have to use the knife aswell or limit it to assisted if thats even possible.
I never used the magnum part of the upgrade for claires handgun. Was that allowed?
Any modifications done to a version can be done with or without it being a legit copy or not. Especially not knowing how the illegal copy was obtained. An illegal copy could be the exact same version released on day 1.
I have 3 legal copies of re2r. pc, psn, and xbox. The point isnt how you should obtain a copy but how to tell the difference between a legal and illegal copy. Im always about supporting those who create things that hog all of my time. Some people dont have the resources to do so. Since re2r sales met capcoms requirement to move on with a new remake. It shouldnt matter any more to anyone but capcom.

You can record on ps4 without hdr, but you get an hour and its very glitchy.
Stream on twitch. Theres an option to save broadcasts. I dont stream so i dont know exactly where the option is. While you wait for a streamer or someone who knows more about twitch you can look through twitch. See if you can find it.
For whatever reason you have to turn off hdr to record for whatever reason. Probably is your issue.
Youd be better off streaming or purchasing a usb capture card. Doesnt have to be high end. Just needs to be watchable for the verifier.
Pausing at all makes splicing runs together easier. Alls you need is a few frames
Leon ends up with a 3 burst handgun. So i would think any handgun(not including dlc or unlimited handguns) should be fine with claire. Whatevers quicker.
Initially when i thought of handgun only runs there would be no upgrades before they became a thing.
Leons handgun becomes a beast. More powerful than the shotgun. Grenade launcher even. Would prefer the 3 burst to most weapons. While the sls is the last weapon i would choose to use from any other gun.
Making the handgun runs lopsided when comparing the 2 characters.
A huge majority of games with new game + have a new game + category. Many with no interest in new game +. Just saying if theres any interest in new game + there should be a category.
Many ps4 runs have footage missing. Im guessing its the psn built in capture. I figured it was all fine.
Know you have a run to submit which tells me you havent yet. However is there a chance you submitted it which will reject your slower run.
Theres other runs in the console cat that have a missing second. World records. So it should be fine.
Im not a mod but id submit it and hope for the best.
Ive been running nade only. Launcher and defense. Mostly used as offense. Used defensively if i get grabbed by something that can install kill and only flash as my reg grenades are all counted for. Probably not possible on hardcore. However the amount of ammo i run around with there's a chance I'm running at the highest difficulty for standard anyways.
I dont think the knife needs to be used at all in a handgun or knifeless run. Or does it need to be removed from your inventory asap. Just dont use it. Could always discard it when you discard something else. I usually discard that and other items during the Marvin call. Knife only runs can have handgun equipped through out. Shouldnt but does. So no need to ruin your route if it isn't something you normally wouldn't do.
Finished a standard Leon A Hand gun only run earlier. Picked up extended clip and muzzle. Used no defensive items(Should be the rule in any "only" run, in Standard anyways). G3 caught me in a one shot kill. Easy to avoid, Decided to continue unloading too long before running.
Definitely need to obtain the stock in next run though.
More extended categories would be nice.

Be patient. Continue doing your runs and your submitted run will be verified in time. Do as I did and try to ignore you submitted a run and the leader boards. I had to unfollow the game.
Although the leap from base xbox to xbox one x(as i did.) is larger than the jump from ps4 to ps4pro. The knife damage was noticeably different. The smoothness and speed of movement wasnt as noticeable but it was there.
The more FPS the quicker the run in general. Period. From knife damage to movement.
You will notice an improvement.
