The PS5 version can run the game at 120fps if you have a monitor that can enable it. Since the Knifes DPS is tied to fps youll get faster times with different strats. If you cant get the 120fps boost the times wont be much different in comparison to ps4.
I imagine No merchant and low% are givens for category extensions. Usually category extension is a post submission rush thing.
If a whole run can be rejected due to not saving at the end because that save verifies the run being single segment. Why is there a rule to capture the whole run that clearly shows its single segment if verified correctly?

possible for both Claire scenarios. you really need to save the grenades for G4 and G5 especially G4 as the grenadelauncher does nothing to G4 very unfortunate.. Magnum only leon 2nd run is also possible. The runs are quite fun.

only recently have I ran claires 2nd run. and leon magnum only so no vids.
in settings... set run to hold and aim to toggle. making it so you can hold run while toggle aiming.
I guess I'll ask here. Was there ever any interest in the grenade only run? grenadelauncher and grenades?
Apologies, for some reason that brilliant point completely skipped my mind when I replied. Yes it would solve everything and would be going down in weapon tier instead of going up to laser from the sky lol.

In new game you couldnt use the STAKE and I dont really see the point of handgun only ng+
The issue with handgun only is you cant really go beyond casual(standard would probably be excluded like every other category) with chris' section unless you throw in laser allowance. Which Im not against for HC and VoS.
Ive been running new game casual handgun only no duke and was thinking of submitting it to no duke since theres no handgun only category yet and no duke needs more submissions but I was also thinking of adding some stuff(pipe bombs, mines and grenade launcher) to my current route and run that for a bit. Doesnt interest me though.
I use pipe bombs and such already in my handgun only runs but only to remove locks, slime walls and door lights which I dont even know if that should be allowed officially but its allowed for knife only so why not handgun only?
The idea of a no knife category has nothing to do with the knife as a defensive weapon.
Its just to see runs as they wouldve been if the knife wasnt so OP. So you take out the use of the knife as a offensive weapon but still use it as a defensive weapon.
Ofcourse at the end of the day its quickest to not get in a situation where you have to use a defensive weapon anyways.
I use to run this exclusively for a minute back in the RE2 days. Except I left out the handgun as well. Even have a run on youtube somewhere in hopes of it being added.

The problem is unless you are obsessively watching over the leaderboards you have no idea how many runs are being verified and there seems to be a misconception of how many are being verified.
At the same time it seems to be one person who really is being a pain while others are just curious.
If one submits a run it should be treated the same as the Ronco Rotisserie oven not watching paint dry.
If youre going by notifications it only shows WRs and maybe top 3s as well? Some games do.
Especially this early on. Submit knowing it will take 3 weeks. Anything less will be a bonus.

No thats what Im running and feels more HG only with no duke to me personally. Not saying it should be officially that way just what i prefer to run and honestly see ran for casual. Just brings me back to RE4.
But freedom to use duke and laser for all difficulties only makes sense.
Ive been running casual HG only no duke. Its more of a HG only feel. Of course on HC and VoS upgrades are needed.
Usually the goal is to have the same rules for all difficulties for cleaner boards and lack of confusion.
So HG only would probably be freedom to use duke and freedom to use laser for Chris for all difficulties.
One of the main enjoyments(for me any ways) of HG only is ammo routing. NG+ would eliminate this. Really shouldnt be used for Casual, however would make HC And VoS more true to HG only.
At the same time adding duke makes ammo routing more fun as with no duke you are stuck basically picking up every source. HG ammo and that to create HG ammo.

No duke can be done on all difficulties if all guns are an option.
