Actually, it is a bad method. If you are playing on an emulator that is running at a slow frame rate, this won't work. I didn't even notice that! Silly me!

@TwisterCuber Are you a cuber too? If so, what's your average (I'm like 17-18 LOL).

They are using a complicated glitch. To get to the warp zone, hit your head against the invisible blocks below the platform before the pipes. Hit the vine, and climb up. To find out more, type in "wrong warp glitch Super Mario Bros" or something on the internet.

Beat world one: Who would play it: Me and whoever else wants to. Rules: Timing starts on the frame the clock says 400. Timing ends the frame you touch the axe on 1-4. Glitches are allowed. Same emulators allowed in any%. I think that this would be pretty fun, and it fits in with other categories that are ILs.

Oh wow this is very interesting to read.

United Statesiplaymario1246 years ago

I know, I was just saying that for beggininers, who just want to get a time down lol.

Here is the easiest way to precisely time your runs. Step 1: Import your video file for the run in a video editor, (preferably Kinemaster because of precise timing). Step 2: Trim the beginning and ending of the run to the way that you are supposed to normally time (in the rules). Step 3: Check the time on the right, and that is your time! I did this on the ultimate tas, and I got 4:54.03. Sounds familiar, huh? Anyways, hope this helped! P.S. I puporsely downloaded the mp4 with 30fps, and it still worked.

I believe that not slowing down as much in 8-2 results in fireworks. I am not too sure, but when doing AISSON I got 6 fireworks on 8-2.

I know, I would just use the xpos for testing, practicing, and TASing. Thanks!

United Statesiplaymario1246 years ago

I've seen videos with an xpos counter (usually for 4-2) and an accurate timer in the run (one of the old wrs had it on FCEUX I believe). Do you know how to get those?

I actually like this idea. But I think it should be fine to just post on the any% category. But I think I know what you mean, for a more fair category for not as good players.

United Statesiplaymario1246 years ago

So I can do FPG (TAS) In 1-1, 4-1, 8-1, 8-3, (warped) but IDK how to do it in 1-2 for a warpless TAS. Anyone know how to do it?

Actually, nobody posted a racial slur. I actually deleted one of my comments on here because people kept saying I necroed. As I said in the original comment, I wasn't active, see I didnt even know what a necro was. I left for like 6 months. I believe warpedclip was lying about a racial slur, because I cannot find one anywhere. Anyone know what happened?

I’ll never go here again, soooo bye!

United Statesiplaymario1246 years ago

Ok yeah I took the 4:54.03, multiplied by 60 to get the frames, added the startup frames (difference of the 2 times) divided by 60, and got exactly 4:57.31 Thanks!

United Statesiplaymario1246 years ago

Gg to you, you replied as well. LOL And like I said, probably the Least active user on here, at least read the comment lol

Also, I get it now, I was timing correctly the whole time (99% sure) but my gas was slow. I did start the frame count when the timer said 400, and ended upon hitting the axe like I said. Lol

United Statesiplaymario1246 years ago

So your saying, take the 4:58.xx, subtract 2.7 and get the correct time of 4:55/56? If so, thanks.
