One of the requirements isn't speaking French though, soooo :>
@akaTrickster, download LiveSplit, right click and "Edit Layout", go to "Layout Settings" and click the checkbox next to Best Segment that says "Use Rainbow Best Segment Color"
Honestly do whatever games you enjoy playing casually. A lot of running is grinding out a game, and although some games may be straightforward mechanically, if you just get bored of it because the game isn't something you like, you won't run it for very long. The Witness apparently had a 25 minutes run of it (just skimming a headline) so that would be fairly short.
Wouldn't really base your choice on what other people are doing, just find a game that you've done before or you can see yourself putting 100+ hours into, and start to look around for an existing run of it, or begin to route it yourself.
Don't compare yourself to WR at first, or you'll just end up in a cycle of not being pleased with the progress you're making compared to that. Set goals and try to achieve them; compete against yourself and then as you get experience you can become competitive with a record.
Beurt460, try talking to the moderators of the game first and messaging them through Twitter, Twitch, or otherwise. This is normally a last resort thread so unless you've already tried talking to all of them I'd start there first :) Best of luck!

Just try to get into contact through social media or Twitch, if not, then use the moderation thread and apply to become a mod.
Favorite Game: DK 64 has a lot of good memories, even when I went back and played it again Least Favorite Game: Disappointed with the new Battlefront compared to it's predecessor Favorite piece of music from a game: The original Dragon's Dogma Intro music, by far. Favorite Video Game Level: 'All Ghillied Up' in MW came to mind first Favorite video game mascot: Gordon Freeman A game that you like but no one else does: LYNE A game that you don't like but everyone else does: Mortal Kombat What game do you think is underrated: Call of Juarez: Gunslinger What game do you think is overrated: Undertale or the original "I wanna be the Guy" game What Game did you most recently play for the first time: Killing Floor 2
The time it'll take to get your run verified depends on how active the mods are on that leaderboard. Right now, promyy is the more active of the two, and was online 4 days ago, so they haven't gotten a chance to see your run yet.
If you want, feel free to shoot them a Twitch message: twitch.tv/promyy_/
It also has other contact information for them if it doesn't work, but it's only been a day so you may need to be a bit patient :)

This is the leaderboards for it. You may get a better response talking on the forums there, or taking a look at the runs themselves and seeing for yourself. Run is about 30 minutes, for WR.
The moderator of the game would have to add a separate section for you to submit ILs to, so I'd suggest contacting ItsNiklass (was just on yesterday) and asking him if he'd do that for you. Once he creates a place for that on the page, you'll be able to submit directly to that.
Assuming you mean RNG: If there isn't already runs of it, normally it's up to the first runners to decide what is a fair or allowed in their game. Usually in my experience though, anything that effects the game should happen while the timer is going (for example, in a Yu-Gi-Oh game, preparing a file with a bunch of good cards in it beforehand, and then transferring them over after starting the timer, wouldn't be allowed).
There's a few ways to approach it. You could create two categories, one allowing the manipulation beforehand and one not, but honestly with a game with a small community you don't want to fracture whatever playerbase you have. So I think it's just up to you, but I'd guess starting on a fresh download would be my choice.
Even his comment states that it was a sub 12:20 and that he thinks sub 12:15 is possible, which would make you assume that he intended for this to be posted as a 12:18. Feel free to message a moderator for that game or talk with them on their forums specific to that game and figure it out; there may be some sort of timing thing they do that we don't understand that led to a small inconsistency. But just hang tight, thanks for letting us know about it :)
Depends on the community, but you'll get better answers just asking right in their forums or messaging a moderator. Though, what I'll guess is that having a modded X-Box that cuts load times wouldn't be looked at too well. It'd give you a distinct advantage over other players, assuming they use RTA (Real-Time-Attack) and count the load screens. But just ask around there, it looks like there's a decent number of runners.

It just seems like Any% NG+. But just message Feanorus about it, he was just on less than a half hour ago and moderates that game.
Of more popular streamers: BrainTM, TheMexicanRunner, Tminator64, BT, and Kalemandu.
Lesser known runners: C0ffeemonsta is a really chill and cool guy, as well as D374tp and vtor67. Definitely check them out whenever they're live.
I know it was meant to be one but there's a lot of cool people out there :)
