Also, if you want to see it getting added, ask on the games forum/discord: https://www.speedrun.com/mc
@ShikenNuggets About your suggestion: You don't need to hit the save button every time, that's only for the part at the top (Name, Discord, Region etc), everything else gets saved automatically. I do agree on the suggestion tho'.
There were strict rules for all games back when speedrun leaderboards were listed on Twingalaxies or other sites, however on speedrun.com each game has their own rules, there are no global rules here so each game handles anti-cheating differently. Usually it's just that games don't accept runs without a video and that emulators require other stuff like showing FPS (as already been mentioned earlier).
The order depends on when you ran it, the most recent ones are always at the top. There's currently no way to change it
I can't find it anymore but im pretty sure it has already been said that the messaging system just isn't as important as a lot of other stuff on the site so it will take a while
Yes, because you need to be able to contact a mod and if someone didn't link any social media accounts there's no way to contact them. You can request it again and it should be accepted if that was the only reason.
There should always be a reason as to why games get rejected, you can see them in your notifications.
In the "Edit Game" page there should be a button below the subcategory called "Set default to all runs without a value", that wouldve moved all runs to the default subcategory. Would be faster if there are a lot of runs but that works too
Even if they are, it is possible to bypass them and theres not much you can do about it
There's already a achievement website for older consoles: https://retroachievements.org/ They have a forum and discord, might be more useful to share it there than here.
Also, if somehow possible, create a better way to show these achievement, literally anything! Even Google Docs would work better than Instagram considering theres already a search function, Instagram could still be used for "advertisement" tho'.
I don't know if it should scan for "wikipedia.org" as other wikis like mariowiki would be better for mario games because it's way more detailed, although I wouldn't know a good alternatve except creating a huge whitelist which probably wouldn't be that good either
Ask the communities if Android emulators are allowed, then just download the allowed emulator. But Android emulators are probably usually banned because theyre not too accurate unlike PC emus.
Also, please don't delete the first post as the thread won't dissappear after it. Just makes it harder to understand what happened in case people read it afterwards.
Inactivity only applies if they didn't do anything since 3 weeks. But you can ask them if they can add you as a mod.
A variable is more than enough, just click on "Filter", hover over "Version" and select whichever you want and it will show the best run of the selected version. Essentially the same as categories.
Create a Twitch/YouTube channel. Rather YouTube than Twitch tho'.
