I think PC is a normal version that got released back in the back? Think it should be allowed since its no "fake" boost like faster disc speed for ps2 would be since this is not a ps2 game.

All runners should be equal for camparing runs so we decided that faster versions than the original itself form back in the day should not be allowed to keep it easy. So if anything speeds the game up its not allowed (such as FDS )

I personally dont know about the PS3 thing so i cannot say if its faster than the old original, sry x:

Hm you could try running the game on PSX (emulator) so you dont lose the loading times. Emulator should be easy to find..search for ePSXe 1.7.0 for example.

Well we thought its kinda "pay to win" situation in general if somebody runs ps1 games on ps2 with FDS because its not how the game was original played anyways...thats always a hard thing about psx runs...and i guess all community do it differently from as far as i saw it in the past. Its always depending on the mejority of the runners..democracy thing...so if there would be many or whatever it would change because of that.

Hmm i can add it but its a big problem about how to get 100%..because if you die in a stage for example the coins are back and this messes up with everything..so nobody could see if its really 100 or not..complicated stuff

Running on PS2 is not banned. Its just so that we both said that it would not be fair using faster speed for the game (that was not originally included in the game since it was released for PS1) We were the only active runners so it got decided this way so far at least.

Fargus% is not silly cause it was some completely different routes included and gives a nice challenge. You can ofc play Fargus in normal Any% if he gives you some good use..you can change between both because why not.

Changed some names and removed "100%" cause it would never have a runenr ever since we tested it...and its kind of impossible at all.

sorry for asking this too..:/ But i have the same problem and it does not change from time to time.

I checked if i have the completely right game title and i allready have a pb at this game. Additionally I checked it later again after streaming a long time...but my stream never ever appears at the "streams" section which is kind of odd. A friend has exactly the same problem. So is there anything i could have done wrong? Regards!

Yes burning deserts is worth a try cause you wont lose time or hearts if you mess it up.. But at parts like level 2 it's not worth trying in my opinion because you need to wait a little before these spikes start coming towards you and you lose a heart for trying.. Its too hard to execute (Btw you always jump automaticly when you press the jump button in mid air and hold it...when you hit the ground you normally will jump and the first frame possible)

I am also currently planning to make a step by step speedrun tutorial for pandemonium. (all RNGs, strats for sub 38, safety strats, hints, etc) Don't know if you would be interested in that. -> AmaraSpeedruns came up with this idea because she asked on if someone could do that for easier learning.

I am really happy about reading that you are so interested in this game because many people are not. Some wanted to start running it but gave up after a short time because the game obviously is a dick. I can only repeat what Emeraldsword said about watching the runs and asking over and over again because there is so much stuff that always appears new after many playthroughs.

Used snes9x before but somehow i cant do the reset on this emulator (L,R,Start,Select). Then i wanted to try bizhawk emulator but it does not notice the second controller at all.

is there a time difference based on which Playstation platform you use to run this game? I ask because I saw some of you played on the PS2...does this influence anything? Like loading times e.g.? The wr looked like it had shorter loading times..but maybe it's just me mistaking something.

Hey, well it's not necessary. Guess we don't have trust issues or something like that..so recorded runs are allowed. In addition, I can't stream atm so I only use recorded runs myself. Not a problem
