Hi, looks like you're trying to request a game for a series already on the site. Check the roblox series page: https://www.speedrun.com/roblox
There should be a button to request a game, so fill out all the info you have in there. I think that's how you're meant to do this?
Yeah, try running a game you already like a lot. Maybe watch some runs and then try it for yourself- and feel free to experiment with any ideas you have, especially if it's a small game or a category that not many people have tried!
Most of the games I run, or want to run sometime in the future, are games that I've played and enjoyed a lot in the past. With games I already like, I feel a lot more motivated to play more and to complete a run, or to try and contribute something.
What if the pineapple is a fake, and just looks like a real pineapple? There have been some very convincing fruits made of substances such as wax and cake in the past. Maybe they could be in other oceans when made of other materials?
I assume nobody here has actually been to a pineapple under the sea to know this for sure, but I would be glad to be proven wrong.
Wow, having had a look at this app I really like the statistics it shows you! Nice work.
I did find a small error- I also checked the stats for a game I run, and the current world record holder is shown as the "all-time longest record holder" for about 900 days despite having only had the record for a couple months. Other than that, though, I'm very happy to know about this, with some statistics made a lot easier to find. Fascinating stuff.
EDIT: btw. I like the idea for the pi chart with your games with most submitted runs. Maybe there could be an equivalent for that based on the amount of actual time you put into each game? Just a thought though.
I don't have an answer, but would be interested to see this- I love seeing my statistics in things.
I think I understand. Are you telling me the protagonist of Doctor Who is the one who lives in that pineapple under the sea?
Yeah, that was already what I was planning on doing, and what I have now done. Thanks
I was mainly concerned about if there was a game I eventually run that I didn't follow, but might be interested in knowing if someone beat my time, but I guess it's not that big a deal. I can just follow it or I can deal without.
These are the sort of things where I feel like I shouldn't be nosy, but I can't help but wonder what they did to get banned... seems pretty out of nowhere for an onlooker like me who's only seen this thread, but there has to be a good reason, hasn't there?
I get a lot of notifications for google minesweeper because I have a run of it that gets beaten a fair amount. though this could be partially solved by improving at the game, I'd really prefer to not get notifications about my run being beaten at all in this game. I lose places so much anyway so I'd rather find out next time I look at the leaderboard, and I'll gain some again when I get a new PB.
From what I can tell there are two ways of solving this - one of them is following it and turning off everything, but if I do that it'll dominate the top of my homepage which I'm not too big a fan of. The other is to turn off notifications for this in all games I don't follow.
I guess the latter works fine right now because I already follow all the games I've run that I care about seeing, so that'll probably end up being the solution I use if it really is the only other option, but I'd love to see the ability to turn this of for an individual game basis, or the ability to also toggle it being at the top of the homepage.
Global Hotkeys should solve the issue, though I have had problems with at least one game seemingly overriding those global hotkeys. Doesn't seem like that's their problem though.
Find your Pending Actions page (click on the hourglass at the top then "View All", or find it on your profile) You can click on one of the duplicate runs to view it in there. From that page, there should be an option to remove the run. You can also wait for a moderator to accept/reject it.
Hope this helps :)
Hi! Welcome to speedrun.com!
It looks like there isn't a leaderboard for Pokémon Home right now, so you'd have to request it first. There should be a request game link somewhere, but your account also has to be 7 days old first. (I think you can also contact the series mods for Pokémon...?)
Keep in mind that your request might not be accepted, but that doesn't mean you can't speedrun Pokémon Home by yourself/with others.
Forgive me if I'm wrong because I'm not at all familiar with this game, but couldn't you theoretically save something like a minute from any% x2 by reloading the page? You already have one cake, so if you reload you can get straight to the next.
As others have already said, this game is unlikely to be accepted. This is because the primary appeal of the game is with PvP, even if you can play a "practice" mode without it. You can continue running on your own terms, but unfortunately it will not be accepted to the site.
This is far from the first time that Among Us has been requested and rejected for this reason. Sorry.
Hey, I've noticed something weird going on recently:
Let's say I'm viewing the leaderboard for Example-Game's 100% runs, which has 2 subcategories: glitches and glitchless. I decide to view the world record run for glitchless, so I click on its entry. I then go back to the previous page (not by clicking on anything on the actual page, just going back as one does in their browser) and even though the glitchless leaderboard is still highlighted in the choices, the glitches leaderboard is displayed. I have to click onto another category/subcategory and go back to the one I actually want to see in order to view the actual leaderboard again.
I've noticed this kind of thing happen a few times recently, and my brain is telling me it's a new problem (but it might not be- I could just be forgetting any times before then that it happened). Either way, figured it was worth reporting.
Yeah, 6 days might feel like a long time but a really popular game like Speed Run 4 probably gets a lot of submissions, so it's not surprising that it takes a while for them to get to you. It's important to remember that mods have up to 3 weeks to verify submissions, and if they do take that long that's when you have cause for concern.
Somewhat related...? I've been waiting on a run to be verified for what's getting close to 2 weeks, the run being just under two hours in a game that has few runs (wouldn't be surprised if mine was the only one pending). I'm almost tempted to offer to help verify future runs, since the current world record for that game also had a ~2 week waiting time but I don't know if they'd want me to so I'm a bit nervous to ask ^^; (I suppose it's also worth mentioning that they've made it very clear they don't like the game, so maybe, as a person who does like it, I should get around to bringing it up...)
Hey, you're probably better off asking this question in a game this applies to. A lot of people here may not have the answer you're looking for, and besides, stuff like video quality standards can vary from game to game.
However, I will add that you don't necessarily have to stream the game- you could just record it locally and upload it to youtube if that's an option for you.
Allowing submissions without video when the runner is above certain high times is something I can understand. When it's not a particularly good time yet, it saves a runner trouble recording and a moderator time watching a run. I can see an argument for not allowing any times without recordings too, especially depending on the game, but generally I don't see much harm if your time is really slow anyway. And when you get better, you'll still have to show proof.
It becomes a problem when any time of run can be submitted without video. I've seen a leaderboard allow even world records without video, so there was no way of being able to watch what they did to get world record if they chose not to record the run. And, of course, there's no proof that they got the time they did.
If I recall, that board did change their rules, but they still left the old videoless records in.
Hey, maybe there's someone out there who didn't know. I know I've missed out on things that other people thought were obvious plenty of times.
edit: also hold up this post is was 3 months old before T.C.B.D posted
