If you’re using OBS to record your time you can use a timer program like LiveSplit or WSplit and the run that along with the game. At that point you can use OBS to capture both the game and the timer into a single scene for recoding/streaming.
I see two runs on your profile from the category extensions board: one for the “Blitz SG - Win” category and one for the “Blitz SG - 1 Kill” category. That’s in addition to the 4 IL runs mentioned above.
Can you please be more specific about what categories and times you have runs in that are missing? Or even about what game you’re referring to (the extensions or the main game)?
Nemesis% (basically 100% more or less) for FFX is currently north of 21 hours https://www.speedrun.com/ffx#PS2
I don't think anyone is doubting the player base (I don't see a single person that mentioned that at all actually, aside from relying on finding the same people every time to raid with), but rather we're questioning the feasibility of setting up an LB around a game where all of the proposed categories (ie Raids) are completely random every single time.
Regardless of the player base, you'd need incredible RNG to match the time another group got on a Raid because of different players playing together, different Pokemon, different stats, etc. There's zero consistency with the game, and you can't create categories around a game like that.
What makes Display Capture + cropping impractical to use?
A little late to this, but if the root of your problem is swap magic, what does a burned disc solve? Unless there's a PS2 mod I'm not aware of, you're not gonna play a burned disc without the use of Swap Magic or some other mod chip installed. Unless you mean your 2FM disc is bad and not spinning all the time.
Are you asking for people to do these “runs” with you or are you asking for them to be added onto the site?
If it’s the latter, then in order to get a game on the site you need to formally request it via the Request Form found at https://www.speedrun.com/requestgame
That being said, I don’t see this game getting added to the site because what you’ve described aren’t really categories, they’re more like just things to do in a broader, open game. There are several aspects of Pokemon Go that fall under the umbrella of games the site won’t accept per that rules page I linked. I don’t think you would be able to set up Raid Battles as a category because of how different they are. Unless my knowledge of the game is lacking (it probably is) what Pokemon spawn in a raid battle is random, right? How do you build a category around a randomly spawning pokemon? Some might have significantly higher stats than others, so even with proper typing they’ll take longer to defeat. How would you categorize that for a fair and even LB?
It’s stuff like that that makes this game not really “speedrunnable” I’m terms of what this site will track. Games need to have some kind of consistency to them to be tracked effectively and for the categories to be setup evenly. Granted, maybe the game has changed a lot since I last paid attention to it years ago, but since it’s always expanding and changing and trying to create a new experience for its players, it probably lacks the needs consistency for a proper LB here.
All of this is of course my opinion and I could be talking out my ass or site staff could say that everything I just said is wrong.
They might also be talking about the site they upload to has restrictions, in which case, just use YouTube which is the de facto standard for video uploading anyway.
As far as I know from other games that allow PJ64, 1.6 is like the least bad. You’re right that it’s not accurate to a console, at least to any acceptable degree like NES or SNES, but it’s basically as close as you can get. Given that it’s still inaccurate, I think most games tend to have special rules around or separate it out. I believe SM64 separates it out to its own category and I think OOT either bans it for top X% of runs or might hide it by default (I can’t remember).
So it tends to be allowed because it’s the least terrible and is as close to accurate as N64 emulation will find, but it usually gets treated away from an actual console for that reason. Higher versions of PJ64 are even worse and tend to be even less accurate than 1.6 already is, hence why they’re usually banned.
Idk I just sit down and do them. If you're afraid of getting hungry then keep snacks near you (nothing with sugar, go with something like nuts because the protein and fiber will fill you up). Don't drink anything other than water, because again, the sugar and crap will wreck you if it's a really long run, and always remember to stand up and stretch periodically - pace a little if you can - so you don't get stiff or uncomfortable.
Other than that, it's just focusing. Practicing a long run will reveal places during the run where you can eat a little or even have a long enough break to go the bathroom. If you need to use the restroom, then just do it, in a run that's hours long anyway, a 30 second break to use the bathroom won't kill you or your time unless it's a super optimized game (which is hard if they're super long anyway). It's all about being smart with taking care of yourself, but if there's any reason you just can't sit still that long or focus that long - medical or otherwise - then longs runs probably just aren't for you.
- Try to change your username and see if it errors.
- Search for the username using the search feature on the site.
- Navigate directly to the user’s profile and see if it returns a user.
In your case, the third option does indeed return a user, so yes, it’s taken.

Reposted something from a different thread. The post they copied was obviously made by an admin since nobody else can bulk move runs from one category to another.
Make all the requests you want, but you need to have a pending run for the game to request moderation for it. If you don’t have a run pending, then site staff won’t add you no matter how inactive the mods are because they don’t add users to LBs as mods if they aren’t running the game.
Maybe you already know that and you have a run pending, but I just wanted to clarify that because you said you didn’t have one before and repeated posts in that LB moderation thread that don’t abide by the rules in the OP is a good way to get site staff irritated at you.
Yeah that’s a good point - the timer is irrelevant, as long as you get accurate time, that’s what matters for the submission of a run (unless otherwise stated by a game’s rules).
The guide in this thread is probably very outdated. It was even said in a later post that this thread was unstickied to avoid confusion. You’re better off using the stickied thread in this forum for you reference https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/wrefn
@ a mod: Maybe we should lock this thread to avoid confusion?
Ironically, the website you’re using - Google Docs. Or more specifically, Google Sheets. You can create a spreadsheet to track runs and then you can manage the runs and the LBs that way. A lot of communities used Google Sheets to manage their LBs if they didn’t have their own website back in the day. There’s no centralized website to track non-video game runs, it’s up to you to track to yourself.
At that point there is no correcting the timer, you need to either play the run back and retime the run that way, or you need to frame count the run to get an accurate time. In other words, the only way to get an accurate time is through some kind of retiming in post production of the run.
As an aside, I would highly recommend putting the pause key for your timer far away from any other key so that way something like this doesn’t happen.
I use the mobile version of the site a lot and everything works fine on my end. If you’re seeing the drop down appear when searching for a phrase, then it’s working correctly. The site doesn’t have a separate page for search results - they all appear in the drop down. So if that’s appearing for you and it’s filled with the results, then it sounds like everything is working just fine.
