Despicable Forces Quarantine%. The goal is to stay at the first level for as long as you can.
My main speedgame is Adventure Forward 2: Points of Conflict, however I have gained interest in Super Mario 64 ROM hacks.
As a ROBLOX speedrunner, I would recommend "Adventure Forward 2: Points of Conflict". It's a pretty fun game in my opinion and there are many glitches (wallhops, lag clips, etc.) you can use.
But it's also pretty difficult so your first run may take at least an hour or two.
It usually depends on the rules for the game you want to run.
Older games for older systems usually allow emulators, but games like Super Mario Bros. only allow runs to be done on certain emulators and some may allow emulators to be used under certain conditions (e.g. run must be behind a certain place or slower than a certain time).
Meanwhile, games like Super Mario 64 have separate categories for emulator runs, usually due to emulators for that system being inaccurate.
Games for newer systems like the Wii U and Nintendo Switch flat-out ban emulators because they are extremely inaccurate.
Mesen is not allowed in many leaderboards for NES games because it uses a run-ahead feature which skips non-input frames in order to reduce lag.
Some communities may allow Mesen, but others don't. Check the rules for the game you want to run and see if they allow Mesen.
Linking to ROM websites is illegal and is against speedrun.com's rules since Super Mario Bros. is still protected by copyright law. Therefore, we can't tell you where you can get the ROM.
However, we can tell you where to get the emulator. The leaderboards allow runs done on BizHawk, FCEUX, Nestopia, and OpenEMU. You can get BizHawk, FCEUX, and Nestopia from the Resources page. https://www.speedrun.com/smb1/resources
Here are 5 long speedruns I've seen on the site. Some of these runs aren't WRs but they're still very long.

If you made a mistake submitting a run, you can edit your submission by clicking on the 3 dots and clicking "Edit run".
My longest speedrun used to be a 1h 49m 33s in the "All Dimensions" category in "ROBLOX: Speed Run 4". That was until late November when I did a 100% speedrun of a Mario 64 ROM hack named "Super Mario Star Road". The speedrun took me about 4 1/2 hours.
(Also, sorry for necroposting.)
70 stars is the minimum amount of stars required to beat the game the intended way, so any form of sequence breaking (such as skipping star door requirements) is not allowed. The BLJ is probably banned because it can be used to skip star door requirements.
Distributing ROMs of copyrighted games or linking to websites that distribute them, or downloading them is illegal (it's considered copyright infringement) and is against speedrun.com's rules. Because of this, we cannot help you. Sorry about that.
You need to be 13 years or older to create a speedrun.com account, as well as to use YouTube or Twitch.
You should be fine if you're under 18 as long as you're 13 or older.
I recommend using OBS Studio to record your runs.
You can look at the top games at https://www.speedrun.com/games and see which one you want to start speedrunning.
From what I've heard, DeSmuME is one of the best DS emulators out there. http://tasvideos.org/EmulatorResources/Desmume.html http://desmume.org/download/
Hello, I'm the person who made the TASing system.
Nice TASes, I liked how fast the "Not Even a Screen Punching" one was compared to the RTA world record.
I also do agree that the system is pretty low-quality and I see some bugs that the script contains.
It's basically some marathon that contains a lot of Roblox games, like Speed Run 4 and Adventure Forward 2.
