Regardless of everything else, you can't just be a moderator for a community that doesn't want you to be one. What happens if a complicated matter comes up that needs to be discussed and resolved by everybody, do you just make the decision and everyone is supposed to just accept it? It can not work. They don't want to associate with you, but are gonna let you represent them by being a mod? That's not gonna happen and what you're doing is only further alienating yourself from everyone there and now you're probably starting to annoy people here as well.

Regardless of the reasoning I'm not sure how you can expect to be a moderator for the community if you and them are not on good terms. I just can't see that ever working out. Instead if you can think of somebody that, in your opinion, is more likely to be objective AND is in good standing with at least most of the community I would encourage them to come and apply for beigna mod. Also what the fuck was that homosexuality example. looks misleading as hell, its not the same thing at all. Stop beating around the bush with this shit and just say that this is about condoning child pornography and underage relationships.

Use a password manager.

It is probably in the audit log, but finding that would be annoying. A notification for mods at the least would be really helpful.

My reply for most of your suggestions is that you cannot take that control away from the individual game communities and put it into some kind of algorithm, because of the vast differences the games have and the various needs and properties the categories themselves present. The score thing just sound atrocious, some xbox achievement level horse shit. The search and filtering stuff is cool, more data and discoverability is always welcome.

Wow that was pure cancer. If something like that was submitted to a game I care for it is NOT getting accepted in that state without getting edited, I don't give a fuck what is technically a rule or not. How you can submit that, and then go on about how important you are for the game? God damn.....

No, it doesn't. This is a very particular scenario that is atypical of usual new runners.

Nobody is talking about assuming new runners are cheaters, we are talking about runs that have suspicious gameplay. Only then do traits like emulation, behavior and being new to the community become contributing factors to how much we can or cannot trust someone outright. At the end of the day there is a buildup of trust and respect, so if we say everything is treated equally then we are just lying. That doesn't mean that people should get free passes or less scrutiny for being known.
If you can't prove it's cheated, publish it, and let the community find the proof. Putting everything on the mods is how you get a Todd Rogers situation.
I don't know why we are we talking as if the verifier is locked in a room without contact to the outside world, communication with the community is obviously extremely important and not jsut the mod team. You contradict yourself, the Dragster situation was exactly "letting the community figure it out", cause that is what happened eventually. Most games have small communities and will never get the amount of public attention for something to just happen out of nowhere from the "community", that is why an active investigation needs to occur. I don't find it acceptable for a run like that to just be slapped on the board with a verified sign on it, that even sounds ridiculous.

Not really a bug, but I'll comment on this here since it was brought up previously. In addition to the caching and updating issues the way the sub badges are implemented at the moment is bandwidth inefficient and visually inferior. It uses the 72x72 version from the twitch cdn and downscales it to 18x18, when there is already an 18x18 one stored there in the first place. The different sizes are usually tweaked to look better at their native scale and better optimized for dark backgrounds.

"Have to accept it"? Why? According to who? I'm sure as hell not doing that. It's not gonna get instantly rejected, but It isn't getting verified either. This ain't a democracy, community will discuss the situation and the runner will have to make their case.

As an outsider looking at your leaderboard it is pretty confusing. Seems like all the subcategories are in the wrong place to begin with.

That's a horrible argument, verification is there to provide a first line of defense against runs slipping through, its not a guarantee. The fact that it is not bulletproof doesn't invalidate it. What about all the runs that aren't at the very top or infamous, are they going to receive the same level of communal scrutiny? Verification is already a community effort anyway, when something is questionable and uncertain a discussion usually occurs.

You can get the links for all the runs there, then from the run page you can edit it by clicking the 3 dots then Edit Run.

That is due to the variable not being assigned in the runs. I thought it would take the default value, but I guess not since they are old submissions. You can find all the runs in the Audit Log.

You do that with the use of variables. Go to edit game and scroll down past full categories and you will find another section titled "Extra variables/subcategories ". After you add that to your main categories you will have to manually go and assign the variable to every emulator run.

It is really hard to generalize when it comes to this topic. It completely depends on the game and category.

Resetting late means more practice on the later parts of the run. The sooner you reset, the more often you'll do again and again the same parts at the beginning while doing only rarely those in the middle and in the end.

Only if there is no easy way to practice late game on its own. I'm a big advocate of section practice instead of just doing tons of attempts.

If the game is very linear the cutoff would be time-based and you would reset if you are too far behind to catch up and PB by the end. Other games have hard reset points like tight skips. In a lot of cases it would be a mix of both. Also depending on how optimized or not the run is it can be easy to underestimate how much time you can save.

Being young doesn't absolve you from annoying everybody with unnecessary mod requests or whining about a game request.

I actually just made a new thread regarding the PS4 release, explaining what exactly it is and how that will be handled.

To summarize it is identical to the Pal release of Dracula X Chronices and will be treated the same way.
