I wasn't suggesting we use videos, lol. (in fact, in that same thread, right below my post F says "I agree video proof should be required for any run." in which I respond " Strongly disagree . Only top top times should require this."
I was saying the "4%" values were obviously not used there. And that a WR itself would not require video proof. Also, misc categories are less strict.

Pretty horrible idea. Also, before, top 3 runs didn't need videos. Then the requirment for videos was added. The ones without videos still stayed/grandfathered. If you grandfathered those, grandfather these.
And don't "un-grandfather" the old ones now. They made a decision and finalised it. Don't be a power hungry guy changing everything, even well-worked out past decisions from previous staff.
Could you either supply all new players with capture cards - or put a giant label:
"$200+ /ADDITIONAL/ DOLLARS REQUIRED TO PLAY THIS GAME ON SPEEDRUN.COM [in addition to what you spend on the game, controller, and wii, and internet connection (not included)" on the site?

I feel it's more a mod team flaw. Get more mods, none are active. Cause right now it's like "we have an occasional trickle of cheaters every blue moon, guess we'd better fuck up the sitestead of appointing new mods, because this trickle is overwhelming for the 1 person who does stuff"
Jcool also fucked up the misc categories for well over 3 weeks and it was the only few weeks i could TT them, go figure

I love how the player's page protocol works flawlessly for the entire mkw community. It's well thought out, simplified, and flawless. Except here, this is the only place you're required to buy a 200$ smartphone // capture card (plus storage space) to record long (multiple hours) and short videos. And thanks for removing my old times. I thought old times before a rule change happen are still kept.
It's also a fucking hassle, in many cases. Obviously, videos are necessary in some cases, but this is overboard now.

do i look at cup categories stats, wii non-play 2, or wiiu non-play 2? if from cup cats...... which spefifc cell on the spreadsheet shows me how much time to subtract off maxaura's WR co i can compare it as if it were on wii? honstly, iv tried my best, but im so lost :S

I've heard macbook pros (1000+$) cant run it, my $500 PC cant run it, my old $800 pc couldn't run it, it lags on my uncle's expensive computer system
Basically you need a quite expensive computer. even if you build it ur self u probs need at least $500

Damn, so Wii saves time on the credits section with a faster reset. But Wii U is still overall faster due to loading times and also the fact that resetting by menu only takes a couple seconds longer at most.

and @ILOVESMB, he means the dolhpin frame itself could be used as some sort of overlap graphic to fool others into thinking dolphin was legit up and running proeprly no cheats. not sure if u knew
Can't you use savestates on your Wii using mods? And then have that play back normally to replicate a TT session, which could also fool a stream audience?
Shows how much the mods pay attention. Defs need additional mods.
